Amazing experience! I came in without an appointment and Ali was kind enough to take me in. He worked fast but with great attention to detail, the haircut turned out perfect. The whole staff was super friendly, positive, and welcoming. The atmosphere was great, very relaxed and professional at the same time. Honestly, one of the best barbershop experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend this place and Ali in particular!
Diego is hands down one of the best barber shops around. They’re always incredibly accommodating—no matter how last minute I walk in, they’re able to get me taken care of right away. The service is consistently top-notch, and the shop has a great vibe. The owner is an awesome guy—very friendly, professional, and genuinely hospitable. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the shop and in making sure every customer has a great experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality cuts and great service in downtown San Diego.
They should make six-star reviews possible. I don’t typically indulge in stylish haircuts for myself, and never before had I treated myself to a straight-edge shave with a hot towel at a shop. But Jay made it more than worth the time. My hair and face look good, but I also *feel* better after taking the time for a relaxing and soothing experience. Jay communicated well so we were on the same page, he put me at ease, he set a good mood with music, he talked about his life and was interested in mine. Think of it as getting more than just a haircut. I’d go back every time if I were local to San Diego. Ask him about the “Godfather” experience, which is said to include whiskey and a cigar. Jay will make you look better and feel better. The shop has a friendly aesthetic. Puerto Rican owned (there was a little statuette for Roberto Clemente in my room). It’s a community I didn’t know was present in San Diego. (Navy?)
Jay cut my hair here! We were allowed us to have a haircut in a private room where we were given control over a tv to play whatever videos or music we liked, which was nice! He spent his time delicately snipping and balancing my hair until it reached a standard of perfection even he was proud of! I am really happy and proud of his work. Keep it up, Jay :D
Incredible experience for my two boys (3 & 5)! They handled the boys so well and their hair has never been better. Huge thanks to Ali who came out with some color hairspray to make it that much better!
