Very bad experience! The massage therapist barely wanted to touch me . I booked a deep firm massage and during the session she even asked if she was doing it deep enough I told her no and she did even softer. My 3 yr old granddaughter could have done better . It was the worse massage ever and to top it off it was my daughter birthday and she experienced the same thing with her massage therapist which hers was a man and mines was a women . We left with our backs hurting. I was so disappointed and sad especially my daughter and it was her birthday surprise. That’s not all when we was checking out my daughter stated she was thirsty and wanted a water all the massage therapist was standing in the lobby NOBODY offered her one but as soon as another lady walked out they immediately asked her if she wanted a water how was her service! It was clearly shown that they didn’t want is there and we definitely didn’t feel welcome and would never go back to the spa envy by Hanes Mall in Winston Salem .
I am giving three stars primarily because the front desk staff was incredibly hospitable and professional. They were very kind and handled my feedback well when I spoke with them after my appointment. Unfortunately, the massage itself was the most disappointing one I have ever received. I clearly explained my lower back issues and specific problem areas before we began, but the session did not take those needs into account. The massage therapist used an excessive amount of oil and relied almost exclusively on his forearms, which felt awkward and lacked precision. At several points, he jabbed an elbow directly into my spine while moving upward. It did not feel as though he had a strong grasp of anatomy, especially around my shoulders and neck area. The length of the session was another significant issue. Although I booked an hour massage, the therapist stopped after forty-five minutes. When I questioned the early end, I was told that the hour includes ten minutes for dressing and undressing. In my experience with many other providers, an hour massage means sixty minutes of hands-on time. This policy made the entire session feel rushed. The last twenty minutes were particularly stressful because the therapist began speed-massaging my feet and wrists. This rapid pace was very uncomfortable and actually triggered my anxiety rather than helping me relax. The session ended very abruptly, whereas most therapists gently end the sessions and tell you to take your time. This therapist let me know he would be standing directly outside the door while I was getting dressed. Having someone waiting right there added a layer of discomfort to an already mediocre experience. This chain may be overextending its staff by requiring a full-body massage in such a restricted timeframe. While the environment and front desk team are lovely, the actual massage fell far short of professional standards.
Amanda was really great she handled my mom with such good care. She said she is recommending her to everyone she knows. She spoke so highly of Amanda. As soon as l get chance lm going to see her too. Mrs Patsy was very satisfied. Thank you very much.
It was an excellent visit. I just couldn't find the time to make an appointment. I had missed a doctor appointment upstairs, and I thought if Massage Envy took walk-ins I was going in. It was a good move. Cindy did a great job. I was ready for Christmas!
I recently came in for my first prenatal massage at 8 months pregnant and it was a great experience. Cindy was very kind and did a great job explaining things throughout the appointment. I also got the exfoliating treatment of my feet which was so great as a very pregnant woman! They do have a wedge that you can use. The store is very clean and everyone is very helpful.
