On both days I went looking for my sofa, I was fortunate enough to have Kora greet and assist me. Kora went above and beyond helping me search for the perfect leather reclining sofa! I’m grateful for her patience and sincere interest in the needs I had shopping for this piece of furniture. Everyone one was kind at the store on Memorial near May in Oklahoma City. Ariel, the cashier was so sweet and helpful too. Such a great experience.
Sold me an “electric couch and loveseat. I Begged for a manual one but they insisted this electric one is better. I might have had it a year now and one of them is stuck in the up position now. I have hated these thing almost immediately. They take like 20 seconds to recline and unrecline. Don’t let them upsell you on electric garbage that cost close to 5 grand. I have had recliners from big lots last longer and for only a couple hundred bucks After studying the recliner I was able to fix it. Still unhappy with how long they take to recline and sit back up though. But they do recline now.
I had the pleasure of working with Drake Schoelen, and I can confidently say that his customer service skills are exceptional. At 43 years old, I’ve encountered many sales experiences, but none have matched his level of professionalism, care, and dedication. Drake went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied with my sofa selection. He worked with me to find an option that was both affordable and perfectly suited to my needs. He even arranged for the cushions to be customized with down feathers for extra comfort and ensured the material was both durable and aesthetically pleasing. What impressed me most was his attention to detail. He took the time to measure and compare the sofa’s dimensions with my apartment space to make sure it would fit seamlessly. He also matched the price of another retailer without hesitation. Throughout the process, Drake remained incredibly patient and kind, answering all of my many questions and supporting me as I reconsidered my choices multiple times. As someone who can be very particular, I truly appreciate how he managed to make the experience enjoyable and stress-free. Thanks to his efforts, I feel confident and happy with my purchase. I would highly recommend Drake to anyone looking for outstanding customer service.
I am updating my Google review from 5 stars down to 1. On July 5th, I purchased a reclining sofa and two accent chairs from Mathis Home, spending a total of $3,278.63 (including warranty and delivery). The furniture was delivered on July 14th, meaning I have had it for less than eight weeks. This past weekend, one of the accent chairs completely collapsed while I was sitting in it. The base caved in on one side, rendering the chair unusable. For context, one chair has never been sat in, and the other was used only twice. I am 5’7” and under 200 lbs — normal use should not cause a chair to fail this way. When I invest in furniture, I expect it to last. I take care of my belongings, and I made this purchase with the expectation of quality and durability. Instead, I am left questioning the integrity of the product and brand. The third-party warranty company told me to call Mathis Home since the purchase was so recent. Mathis Home’s solution was to schedule an in-home repair. Based on the photos I provided and the condition of the chair, this does not seem like a reasonable solution — the chair is not repairable. Yet they insist on this process, which can only be done on weekdays, meaning I must take time off work just to have someone look at a clearly defective product. I am extremely dissatisfied — not just with the quality of the chair, but with the after-sales service. A company at this level should stand behind its products and do right by its customers. At this point, I cannot recommend Mathis Home and hope they will take accountability and make this situation right.
Peter was phenomenal to work with! Super knowledgeable, relational, and made sure to confirm the accuracy of his answers to all of our complex questions (all were confirmed to be correct!). 10/10 recommend!
