My son started learning piano at the age of four, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the wonderful experience he’s had at Melody Land Music. The teachers led by Melinda have a remarkable gift for nurturing young learners in a playful, engaging way that makes music feel joyful rather than overwhelming. What truly stands out is their patience and deep understanding of how young children learn. They meet kids at their level, gently guiding them through these important foundational years with encouragement, creativity, and kindness. Watching my son grow in confidence, and musical awareness has been incredibly rewarding. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a supportive and inspiring place for their child to begin their musical journey. Special thanks to Miss Melinda, her lovely parents and Miss Diana who worked with my son very affectionately.
My son is with Melody Land music school for his drum and piano lesson for more than 2 years. It was recommended by a friend for drums. He’s going to start percussion too. Melinda and her team are very passionate about teaching. The teaching quality and the dedication are high. Their bi annual recitals are a good opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and overcome stage fear. There is a welcoming atmosphere for the parents in the music class waiting area. . There are updates about the student’s progress on Google Sheets. I also like how quickly they respond to the requests for class change and make up classes. Highly recommend anyone for their music future.
We’ve had a fantastic experience with Melody Land music school and couldn’t be happier with the support they provide. My daughter has been taking both piano and singing lessons, and the teachers have been incredibly patient, encouraging, and skilled. I’ve noticed a clear improvement not only in her skills, but also in her overall self-confidence. Communication with parents is excellent, and it’s obvious they genuinely care about each student’s progress. My daughter looks forward to her lessons every week, which says a lot. I would happily recommend this school to any family looking for high-quality music education in a warm and supportive environment.
We’ve had the best experience with Melody Land Music School. The amount of dedication the teachers give to their students are extra-ordinary. Both my kids attends piano lessons for a couple of years now, and I can confidently say that the growth has been exceptional. No matter which teachers you get, all of them have a high passion and knowledge of music and their instruments. Playing music is not just…playing the instrument… the teachers here also make sure the kids understand the foundation and correct way to be a great musician; i.e manners on how to greet each other before/after class, greeting the audience, finger stance, sitting postures, correct melody/accents etc. Though, classes are always fun! Thank you to all the teachers and Miss Mel! We’re so lucky to be a part of the Melody land family ❤️
My son has been attending Melody Land for about a year now, and during that time he has really grown in both confidence and skill while learning Contemporary Jazz Music. Melinda and Teacher Nathan consistently provide thoughtful, personalised guidance that matches his level and pace. They take the time to understand his strengths and areas for improvement, and because of that, each lesson feels purposeful and tailored to his needs. I’ve been able to see real, steady progress in the way he plays and approaches music. Another thing I genuinely appreciate is the detailed notes shared after every session. These summaries outline what was covered during the lesson, highlight the concepts he needs to work on, and give us a clear idea of what he should focus on throughout the week. It has been incredibly helpful in supporting his practice at home and keeping him motivated. We have tried a few other music schools in Castle Hill and surrounding suburbs, but the difference at Melody Land has been noticeable. The environment is warm, encouraging, and structured in a way that really brings out a child’s potential. My son has improved significantly since joining, not just technically but also in his enthusiasm and love for music. I would highly recommend Melody Land to any parent looking for quality music education—whether your child is a complete beginner or already at an intermediate level. The care, professionalism, and dedication shown by the team truly make it an excellent place for young musicians to grow.
