Hank Upton is a fantastic guitar teacher. He is patient and creative with his lessons. I’ve learned so many ch from him and I look forward to every weekly lesson.
My son started lessons with Hank in the fall and has been loving them. Their work together is motivating my son to keep practicing and learning. Couldn't be happier!

The staff at Middle C is always top notch. We have taken guitar lessons and now they have helped us set up Ableton. Nick and Felipe know their stuff! So grateful for this community of musicians.
My time in DC wasn't the greatest. Driving through squalor at a jogs pace, avoiding the 'unwell' spawning left and right to get to a boring and uninspired yoga class taught by an activist was my daily norm. But, their music stores are the best in the country. I couldn't have imagined I would walk into a store with such based deep cuts of sheet music, like massive conductors scores from Messiean, Stockhausen, Ligeti, Boulez, etc. i had to practice extreme restraint in only buying a half dozen piano books for sight reading. The staff of course was awesome. I imagine lesser men wouldn't last long around such masterworks. And a final point, I appreciate how they had busts of truly great composers like Wagner, while offering them in a variety of cosmetic trims (e.g rotund neckbeard Wagner and cleaned up healthy Wagner). Anyway, A+ guys, I'm a huge fan of the store and you changed my opinion on DC for the better!
