Ramen and home made gyoza is great, but on the expensive side. A bowl of tan tan ramen in a paper bowl costs $17-18. It is pretty awesome that we were able to order Japanese food at a brewery
The takoyaki was quite good. Each had a decent amount of octopus and the takoyaki itself was fried well. Other than that though, the food was extremely disappointing. The chicken lacked any sort of flavor besides and oily taste. The fry itself was soggy and lacked any sort of crisp. The ramen was shockingly bad. The noodles were soggy and the broth tastes like barely flavored water. Even the ramen egg was lacking real flavor. The mince on top of the ramen also had a mushy texture so when combined with the noodles everything had an unappealing mouth feel.
This delicious ramen trailer is tucked in the back of Figurehead Brewing and has a diverse menu of traditional ramen from different regions of Japan. I recommend the Hiroshima Tan-tan-men and Nagoya Taiwan ramen if you enjoy spice like I do. There is plenty of seating in Figurehead and there’s a lovely outdoor seating area as well. The service is friendly and quick, and there’s lots of condiments and topping available for self serve. Come check it out!
Midnite Ramen is inside the brewery in the back. It was hard to find so we had to ask the person behind the counter at the brewery. We went after 11 pm and they only serve ramen after a certain time, everything else like dumplings is stopped. We got the miso ramen with chicken and it was really good. The spice in it was amazing, and brought life to this dish. I would keep this place in my backpocket for whenever it’s late and I need ramen. Plenty of seating area, shared with the brewery.
Inside Figurehead brewery, Midnite Ramen continues to be one of my favorite ramen spots in Seattle. I tried the 50’s Classic Shoyu this time. I was not disappointed with my choice, especially with my low tolerance for spicy foods. If you’re in the Stone Way area and looking for some noodles, I would definitely recommend this place.
