I went into Mike's Camera today with an expensive lens I was sure was a goner. I had dropped it and the filter was tightly wedged on and we couldn't get it off. Colton and Dave were so friendly and helpful! They got the filter off and didn't charge me anything. I am grateful for their help and will be back.
First time to Mike's Camera. I loved the old school feel of the brick & mortar camera store that has some expertise in what they sell. Reminded me of a home town shop which closed it's doors twenty years ago. I was there to rent a professional lens and they had what I needed and the process was easy and pricing reasonable. It's a little harrowing to have my credit card charged for the full value of the lens as a security deposit and I offered to pay for insurance on it but they didn't offer that an option. Still they were friendly, helpful, did their best for the customer.
Mikes has been my Go-to spot for any camera gear or camera questions. I love that they have a selection of new and used gear. The team is always welcoming and highly knowledgeable. What I really appreciate is that I'm welcomed even as an amatuer that still learning the ropes of the craft. The team is supportive and extremely helpful. I appreciate that greatly. Thank you, Team!
If I could give more stars, I would! I drove a couple of hours to have my camera sensor cleaned, and it was absolutely worth the trip. The staff was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind and helpful. The cleaning itself was quick and thorough. I even picked up some new Peak Design gear while I was there. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a great experience!
This was my first time using Mike’s Camera in Sacramento. I brought in a shoebox full of my parents’ old photos to be scanned, plus 3 old tapes. The total cost was around $230 for the photos and $55 for the tapes. The service was good overall, especially when I dropped everything off. The staff was helpful and friendly. The photos were ready in just one day, and the tapes took about a week. I was pretty happy with the turnaround time. The store also has a great selection of camera parts and accessories. I do wish they offered the option to email receipts instead of printing them, since I prefer not to use paper. Even though it’s in downtown, I didn’t have any trouble finding parking. Overall, I’m happy with my experience and would definitely recommend.
