I have been under Dr. B's aka Dr. Birze for a little over 3 years! I i'm going to rave about the patient's understanding and so much support that I get from Dr. B and MindPath! To those who are looking at psychiatric providers or any type of counseling I totally recommend them
I’m very disappointed with the lack of consistency regarding my appointment. I specifically scheduled an in-person visit, yet I was repeatedly asked if I wanted to do virtual. I felt pressured to switch to a virtual appointment, after being asked multiple times (although I declined each time I was asked). I was finally told the doctor would not be in town for in-person visits, leaving me no real choice but to accept a virtual option. Then, on the day of my virtual appointment (40mins before), I received another call saying the doctor wasn’t feeling well and my appointment had to be rescheduled — now being pushed out to October 29th, and still only available virtually. This experience has been frustrating, irritating and unprofessional. Patients deserve clear, honest communication and respect for their time and preferences.
If you are looking for a local office for in person appointments, do NOT consider Mindpath. I was looking for a psychiatrist with an office near me so I could have in person appointments. My doctor sent over a referral and I received a call saying my insurance needed manual verification. It took over 3 weeks to verify my insurance and allow me to make an appointment. When I received a call to make an appointment, I told the scheduler I wanted an in person visit which they said was no problem. Because I wanted an in person appointment I had to wait two months. One day before my first appointment, I received a text saying my appointment had been switched to telehealth. On the day of my appointment, I received a call saying it was cancelled. I was offered to reschedule, and choose to wait for the next in person appointment which was two weeks out. On the day of that appointment, I received a text for a telehealth link. I called the office and questioned why, and they said my appointment was still in person. I arrived to the office 15 mins before my appointment and was told the doctor was not in and I could do my appointment via telehealth. Mindpath has wasted months of my time at this point and clearly has no respect for me as a patient. I would stay away from them if you expect to be treated with respect.
Dr Birzie is a great physician he takes his time and makes you feel very comfortable during the session He is very knowledgeable on current medication and practices He is very kind and never makes you feel rushed. I highly recommend him
From scheduling to technical support to the care given by Doctor with expertise, my daughter has had a most excellent experience with Mindpath and Dr. Birze, who was highly recommended by her therapist. We are so grateful!
