I purchased a cargo bike in-person at their shop and they were super helpful and friendly. They threw in some extras for free. I ended up needing to return it (didn't quite work for my purposes) and they took it back with no hassle or drama. Their customer service seems great.
I can not speaking highly enough about the MOD squad team and their support. From the beginning I spoke with Jermery in the sales & support team and he answered all my questions, gave suggestions based on my life style, my potential uses and even my body size. They were able to hold shipping for awhile until I was back home and ready to receive my Sahara Easy sidecar bike. The package was shipped in a timely manner. Unfortunately the sidecar came a bit damaged due to poor handling by the shipping company but the MOD squad and Marco stepped in immediately and made everything right. They sent replacement parts, touch up paint and even gave a credit to purchase additional accessories. I am currently having my local bike shop assemble the bike and sidecar and look forward to cruising the street with my dog. If you want a high-quality product and high-quality support team, MOD bikes is your answer!
Love my new Mod Bike and side car and I think my dogs may be enjoying it a little more. Great customer service on a truly beautiful machine. Would recommend. If you are hesitating… get the bike.
We both Easy 3 bike. The bike is very nicely designed, made of extremely high-quality components, you took care of every detail. It is really a real pleasure to drive it, and also, at every step it attracts the eyes of our friends or ordinary passers-by. We are really proud to be the first owners of your bicycle in Novi Sad, Serbia, as well as probably in the region, and to became a proud MOD family members.
Nice guys. Very few electric motor problems. Bike is cheaply made and falls apart. Berlin II size is too big for my wife (5’4”). I (6’3”) had to buy a longer seat stem. My wife and I bought two Berlin IIs last summer. Our relationship with MOD started with a we said/they said situation in which I could have sworn the salesperson told us that maintenance was covered every 500 miles, but when I first called for a maintenance appt, that was not honored and I was told they never said that. No proof, so who knows? The MOD Berlin II is the cheapest bike they offer, so I wonder if some of the issues I have experienced only exist because they are cheap version problems. The bike is heavy and loud. I commute on city streets and everything rattles. Within the first 3 months of owning the bike, the following pieces broke or fell off: headlight, battery connection port, rear wheel reflector, pedal reflectors, and plastic bolt coverings. MOD agreed to fix the headlight for free and I did not ask about the other plastic pieces. A year later, my wife’s headlight fell off, but we have moved away from Austin, so I’ll be solving that myself. The motor tends to go in and out on my wife's bike (connection port issue?). While she’s riding, the motor will stop assisting. We have discovered that she can turn the electrical off/on during the ride and the motor typically kicks in after doing this once. Owning an electric bike is fantastic! The battery gauge takes some getting used to, as it is not a 1-for-1, battery life-to- riding distance gauge, but once you learn that 75% battery life showing means 35% once you start riding in ECO mode, you can adjust the setting as you ride and make the battery last a while. I typically ride in ECO, but will use Cargo for hills and quick starts, then switch to FIT when my displayed battery level reaches about 35%. Once the battery displays 35%, anything other than FIT mode stops working pretty quickly. My wife’s bike was stolen shortly after we bought the bikes. We made the difficult decision to spend the money on another bike. When the original was recovered, MOD graciously accepted the return of our third bike purchase.
