Modern Cellar à Cypress mêle une ambiance café douillette à une boutique de vins soigneusement sélectionnée. A cozy bar with curated wine tastings, that also serves coffee. This place is great, though this place is for wine, I came here for the coffee. The barista Jo was friendly and fast serving up my latte. I orderd one of their seasonal specialties, an Eggnog latte. It had espresso, eggnog, and spices topped with whipped cream, which was pretty good. I also ordered the Raspberry pop tart, which I enjoyed. I will definitely come back to try their wine tastings.
I love coming in for the wine tastings! So close to home & the wine and cheese pairings are always spot on! I went in for the Bon Voyage party and there was soft music by Fritz & Janine which I really enjoyed, added a lot of ambiance!
Modern Cellar is just the place Cypress needed. Modern Cellar serves coffee drinks & Crema Bakery pastries and quiches throughout the day. All these are delicious. They offer a wide variety of bottled wines for purchase that are very carefully chosen by the staff at very nice price points. Pricing is right for your daily drinkers or that bottle for a special occasion. They offer thoughtfully chosen themed wine tastings on Friday & Saturday evenings. This has been a great way to meet up with old friends or make some new ones and get a chance to try a new wine or four. Modern Cellar can create for your group a fabulous charcuterie board from the variety of cheeses and crackers they have for sale. This is available for take home for a party or they also offer a private room for wine & cheeses in shop for a special gathering of friends or a business meeting. Modern Cellar also has weekly events in addition to all these great things. Thirsty Thursday in the late afternoon to meet a friend or your partner for some wine & cheese, My personal favorite. A Sunday morning offering of Mimosa's & pastries. They also offer a monthly wine club that is personalized specifically for your tastes. We also are members of this and the wine club gives us a chance to try some really great wines that the Modern Cellar staff knows we will enjoy during the month. Don't miss this spot in Cypress, you won't be disappointed.
This spot is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. The coffee is rich and perfectly brewed, easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. In the evenings, it transforms into the sweetest wine shop — with a thoughtful selection that feels curated just for the neighborhood. Gina and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely make you feel at home. Whether I’m stopping by for a quiet morning latte or sharing a glass of wine with my husband, it always feels special. They also have a wonderful selection of pastries, cheeses, meats, crackers, and other items. They have a nice selection of gift items as well. Small businesses like this are what make a community shine. Can’t recommend it enough!
I’ve been coming to Modern Cellar since it opened. The coffee is amazing, the wine selections are well thought out, the wine tastings are prepared with expert level research, and the food options pair well with the coffee and wine selections. I highly recommend coming here.
