On a recent trip to Darien's team at Momentum I was blown away by the community he has created. I'm a 6th degree black belt under Relson Gracie and training since 1994, and I've never seen and academy so successfully combine the ability to coach top level Pro Fighters in a family friendly environment with all sorts of great people. This is a great place for anyone who's serious about learning Real Self Defense. Darien is also among a handful of people who have earned the Professorship under the legendary Rickson Gracie, who he continues to visit and train with. I can't wait to go back and see the crew again. Great work Darien, keep it up!
Momentum is not your typical mma gym. Momentum is your top training facility in Nevada. If you are browsing gyms around town, I highly recommend momentum. They offer classes for kids through adults. Kids classes starting as young as 18mo+. They teach a variety of martial arts: Rickson Gracie Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Judo, and Wrestling. As well as fitness classes. Highest quality of knowledge and skills (that work for real life scenarios not just for sport), taught by experienced coaches that are professional and personable, safe training environment, a strong, supportive, and welcoming community, amazing training partners, a family friendly environment, and a healthy/clean atmosphere. Perfect for beginners-advanced. For my gals - there are also lots of other women who train here. As a female myself this is the most comfortable I’ve been in any gym. Great place for your everyday person looking to learn self defense or for your hobbyist. It’s such a great way to get and stay in shape. Momentum also has a large number of male and female athlete competitors. This is the best place without a doubt. We started here 4 months ago and it has been the best decision. This place is not just a gym to learn martial arts and condition your body. This place becomes your second home, there is a united, respectful and supportive community. I have witnessed how my family has evolved in all aspects, from the physical to the mental. This gym has become our safe place. WE LOVE MOMENTUM ❤️
This facility, the staff, and the students are all absolutely amazing! We traveled all the way from Amarillo, Texas for a camp here at Momentum and we were welcomed with open arms. The head instructor is knowledgeable, respectful and very skilled. Their style is very unique and very effective. I have been training for nearly 30 years in martial arts and this is by far one of the best experiences I have ever had at any academy. For those in the Reno, Nevada area definitely come check this school out for kids and adults, and for those traveling and looking for a place to drop in for some training Momentum should be the top of your list 💪💪💪🥋🥋🥋
When picking a gym we wanted one that had a sense of community and after looking at multiple gyms we chose this one for our son. The staff is extremely professional and are role models for children. My son comes here for multiple classes 6 days a week and absolutely loves it here. What the owner has done has been exceptional, this is so much more than I could’ve asked for, this is our home away from home, everyone here is welcoming, kind, and genuinely cares for people. This is a family. I highly recommend it and not just for children but really for everyone. You won’t find a better place.
