I can’t say enough good things about my recent experience with Montclair Construction and the work they did on my backyard retaining wall. It was a big project involving drainage and a complete rebuild, and they handled every part of it flawlessly. The crew was fantastic—courteous, kind, and incredibly diligent. Even my next-door neighbor commented on how impressed he was with their professionalism. No litter, no loud music, no parking issues—just a great construction team doing excellent work. A special shoutout to Robert and Diana, who guided me through the entire process and answered every question along the way. Orlando, who oversaw the project, was also a pleasure to work with. Their communication was excellent, and they kept everything on schedule. I wish I remembered the names of the two main guys on the crew, because they absolutely deserve recognition—they were A+ workers, always hardworking and always smiling. I highly recommend Montclair Construction. They get a 10/10 from me—an A+ rating. This is one very happy customer, and I’ll definitely use them again for my next construction project. C. We had Montclair Comstruction work on a project of a shared retaining wall with drainage system with our neighbor. Justin and his crew were very reasonable, transparent, respectful, tidy and efficient. The project turned out great with both sides very pleased. We then had Justin come out and reroute our sump pump discharge. They worked swiftly and were never trying to upsell more work than was needed. He and his team are very knowledgeable yet realistic with a step at a time method to resolve any issue effectively without having to do more than necessary. We really appreciate Montclair’s honesty and integrity. We will definitely use them as needed in the future.
We had structural water damage on a outer wall of our home that required replacing a header and had concerns about more possible hidden damage. Office manager Diane was prompt at receiving my call and scheduling lead estimator Robert to come out the very same day. He was polite, competent and very experienced and scheduled exploratory work for the following week. Following that initial work, construction leader Carlos and crew were able to complete the job in less than a week and did a fabulous comprehensive job with minimal disruption to our home environment and our daily routines. And the job site was spotless when everything was finished. Finding the right construction company/contractor can be stressful, but not if you contact Montclair Construction & Structural. The whole experience went much easier than I expected and I would not hesitate to avail their services for any future jobs that are beyond my pay grade!
I had the pleasure of working with MC and the entire crew on a challenging project to repair our intricate juliette balacony on the front of our house. The project took several unexpected turns but everything was handled professionally until completed. The work was done exactly as stated in the proposal and Robert, Orlando and every sub on the project excelled in their roles. The office staff communicated well with the progress updates and everyone was very accessible. Recommendation: Yes.
