This review is for Jake Hu at MRE at the South Yarra office. He has been the best real estate agent I have ever engaged with so far. He has extensive experience with apartment sales. He is honest and has great communication skills. He sold my apartment off-the-market very quickly at a price I am happy with. He handled issues professionally for a good outcome for everyone. MRE took over the management of one of my investment properties over a year ago, and I have been extremely impressed with the service provided by Andrea. She is professional, responsive, and consistently goes the extra mile, particularly in the way she manages tenant relationships. Communication is always clear and timely, and I feel well informed and supported as a landlord. There is no getting around the fact that MRE is very expensive compared to other local agents. The fees are noticeably higher, and this was initially a concern for me. That said, the quality of service provided has been on a completely different level to my previous agent. The improvement in organisation, responsiveness, and overall management has been significant, and the difference really has been night and day. While I do wish MRE were more affordable, the higher cost does reflect the standard of service being delivered. Andrea’s professionalism and attention to detail give me confidence that my property is being managed properly and with care. I look forward to a long working relationship with Andrea and the wider MRE team, and I would recommend them to landlords who are willing to pay a premium for a high-quality property management service.
MRE Real Estate – Outstanding, team-based service Nicole and I have just successfully rented an apartment through MRE Real Estate, and the experience genuinely stood out. We were looking for a simple but specific solution: a one-bedroom apartment with car parking, close to our design studio in Collingwood, to use two to three days per week while we continue to live in Hepburn Springs. We hadn’t rented for many years—having lived overseas for a long time, then returning to Australia and purchasing both a home and an investment property—so we lacked recent rental references. Despite owning and running a successful architectural and interior design business, and having worked closely with real estate in Melbourne for over a decade renovating and preparing high-end properties for sale, our rental applications kept being unsuccessful. Frankly, it was frustrating. The process often felt transactional and indifferent, and it seemed our applications were simply being pushed aside. We were close to abandoning the rental idea altogether and purchasing instead. Then we inspected a well-located apartment in East Melbourne and met Tali at the open. I had a brief but meaningful conversation with her, explained our situation, and shared our growing frustration at being overlooked. That’s where Lee came in. She inspected the property, provided sound market advice, and we quickly agreed on pricing. The apartment was leased within two weeks, at the right price, to the right tenant. Once again, Andrea handled the lease arrangements seamlessly, and the tenant moved in yesterday. What impressed us most is that MRE genuinely operates as a team. There is no internal competition—just collaboration. In an industry that is often emotionally charged and inconsistent, that matters enormously. Having worked closely with real estate for many years, I can say with confidence that this is not common.
