Absolutely love my haircut! Ryan really listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly that. They were professional, attentive and the result was clean, fresh and styled perfectly. Highly recommend!
I am extremely disappointed with my balayage experience at Nicky Clarke Birmingham, which I personally booked in advance before my Christmas vacation after clearly explaining my requirements and showing reference pictures. I specifically requested a dark chocolate brown balayage, without touching the roots, with full coverage including the hairline. Instead, the final result was blonde, completely different from what was agreed. It looked even worse after my wash after two days from home. I regularly have balayage treatments and understand when hair is handled with professional care; unfortunately, this was not the case. Although Ryan is a senior stylist, his approach on the day was unfriendly and my hair was handled roughly, which made the experience uncomfortable. The hairline result was particularly shocking, with a very visible and uneven mix of black and blonde. When I raised this concern immediately after the wash, a second attempt was made to darken it. I later realised I was charged an additional 20£ for this, increasing the prior agreed total cost from 210£ pounds to 230£ pounds, without prior discussion. As I was travelling the next day, the result left me so embarrassed that I had to wear a winter hat throughout my trip. When asked for feedback at the end of the service, I said I was happy and left immediately, as I was too shocked and distressed to continue the conversation. After such clear explanations beforehand, it felt pointless to keep discussing my concerns when my basic request had not been understood or delivered. I am now forced to book another salon to correct this damage so that I can feel presentable for work. This experience was upsetting, costly, and completely avoidable. I had my hair done with Katy and she was absolutely lovely. She made me feel so comfortable and really listened to what I wanted. My hair looks amazing — I’m so happy with it. The whole staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made the experience even better. I couldn’t fault anything and would definitely recommend this salon
I had a fantastic experience with Jess! I have thin hair, which can be tricky to work with, but she knew exactly how to cut and style it in a way that gave it volume and movement without making it look flat or wispy. She also took the time to give me great advice on how to care for and style thin hair at home, recommending products and techniques that would help maintain the look without weighing my hair down. Loved her a lot ❤️
Jess Langridge did my hair for me (and my bridesmaid) for my wedding and she was amazing. When I met her at my hair trial, I knew we were going to get along! She was so friendly and flexible. I showed her some inspo photos and she created my bridal look just as I wanted it. On the day, she was calm, chatted away to everyone and most importantly, my hair looked amazing! I had compliments all day and I absolutely loved my photos. Thank you Jess! X x
