I've been a patient at NDDA since 2006. The practice is great; however, more frequently, I'm being told it will take months -over 4 months- to see my provider, and the practice refuses to let me schedule with a provider who is more available. Disappointed they have so little regard for a long-time patient and I guess it's time to part ways with this 20 year relationship.
Dr Rebecca Marcus provides poor patient care. She stood near the door, said a couple sentences and prescribed something, and left. When she asked if I had any questions, she already put her hand on the door handle ready to exit. When I asked a question, she removed her hand from the door handle but her body was not facing entirely towards me and moreso towards the exit. She does not take the time to provide patient education and to really listen to concerns. She was so quick to get out of there!! I was on time for my appt, what’s the rush?? It seems her only goal is to quickly diagnose, prescribe you something, tell you to come back in a month, and leave. She lacks providing thorough care. Would not recommend.
I was scammed by North Dallas Dermatology Associates. Normal new patient visit was suppose to be $178.00 without insurance. Dr. Rebecca Marcus saw me for 5 minutes ran no additional tests and misdiagnosed my condition. They charged me $224.48 at checkout which I paid. Then they send me a bill in the mail for $474.00. Claiming I owe them another $249.52. I called the billing department and they did nothing. This office is running a scam. The entire practice needs to be shut down and whoever owns it should be on American Greed and in prision.
I had a very poor experience with eye filler and overall customer service with this office . My under eyes were over filled and I looked terrible with puffiness under my eyes. I called in to advise of the issue requesting to be dissolved and received awful service . I was transferred numerous times , left vm for a week and finally called back and spoke to a nurse. I was advised I’d need to pay a $75 fee to book the appointment ( another charge after service) and she also stated they don’t believe there is any filler left under my eyes . This treatment was over $1000 and I am so disappointed.
Dr Damanpour is amazing. Very attentive, prompt appointments. I’ll rate 5 stars simple for her, and her alone-but *beware* of the billing department (located in MN). I work in insurance & verified my coverage beforehand. I knew my copay for my appt was only $25, however was told to pay $87.16 before leaving. Once I received my EOB in the mail, I contacted the billing department to request my expected refund of $62.12 and was told at that time they had not received the insurance payment yet. This was three weeks after my service date. I had an appt yday & asked the front office staff for reimbursement after my appt & was told I had to call the biling department. I contacted them once again to request my reimbursement and was told a check would be mailed in 3 weeks- nearly 3months after my initial service date. Proper insurance verification needs to be completed AHEAD of patient appts to prevent overpayment + refund delays. Edited: I Initially left a lower rating and was refunded immediately back to my card after leaving the negative review. I have since updated the star rating, as requested by the practice manager, Carrie.
