Oh my goodness! Where do I start. First off, the staff were very accommodating and lovely to specific dietary requests. Myself and my partner ordered the following - duo of dips, beef cheek tacos, quesabirrias, king prawn tacos, burrito, and the frozen strawberry margarita. All dishes and drinks were absolutely beautiful!. I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants and this is by far the best I have ever had. So authentic tasting, so fresh and just beautiful. The only slight suggestion I would make is adding jalapeño to the pico de gallo in the duo of dips, or giving people an option to choose a spicy option. We left completely full and satisfied. My partner is a hard man to impress with food, and he said the tacos were the best he’s ever had and he raved about the quesabirrias. I even made sure to tell him when he went up to pay to tell the waitress how beautiful everything was. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to come back.
went to Nude Amigos restaurant today (27/12) and had one of the best dining experiences here on the Gold Coast. First of all, we were extremely well looked after — high-quality, personalised service. The staff answered all our questions and helped us choose from the menu. We had a fajita that was incredibly delicious, with very tender meat and an outstanding flavour. We also had a coconut margarita, which was spectacular as well. I will definitely be coming back. Fast service, food arrived quickly, everything was perfect!
The food here is terrible. Only reason they have a good rating is the give people a free shot for 5 stars. The cocktails are great so if you want a good marg then its worth it but don't eat. No flavour, steak fajitas were undercooked, meat was grey. The tacos were bland too. Definately not worth the cost. I can make better mexican at home with a DIY kit.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant and would definitely return. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always smiling, although there were moments when they didn’t stay as attentive as expected once service had started. That said, the girl from Guadalajara truly stood out — she was the most attentive, not only with us but also with other guests, and her service made a noticeable difference in the overall experience. Flavors: 8/10 • Chicken Nachos: Very tasty. The chicken was well seasoned, and the nachos were fresh and crispy. I would only suggest adding a bit more sour cream and guacamole to make them even better. • Birria Tacos: The dish is enjoyable, but the flavors don’t feel fully authentic to traditional Mexican birria. I would recommend adjusting the sauce consistency to be less thick and more like a consommé, and possibly revisiting an authentic Mexican birria recipe to enhance the depth of flavor. • Beef Fajitas with Cheese (Alambre): Very well executed with a great texture and consistency. My only suggestion would be to season the beef a bit more to bring out stronger flavors. • Coconut Margarita: Absolutely delicious — refreshing, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The ambience and theme of the restaurant are phenomenal and really elevate the overall experience. I would definitely come back and recommend this place, especially if the suggestions above are taken into account.
We were given one drink menu for six people and had to ask for food menus after waiting patiently, which slowed things down a little. However: The food was outstanding in every way. Each dish had exceptional flavour, balance, and quality ingredients that truly reflected the price. Cocktails were also superb and perfectly balanced. Some aspects of service didn’t quite match the standard of the food. Drink service was slow, and it took around 15 minutes for a bottle of wine to arrive, which we ended up opening ourselves. The atmosphere was fun and lively, though not having enough menus made ordering slower and kept staff busier than needed. Overall, the food and drinks were amazing, and with a few small improvements in service, this place could easily reach the same level of excellence front and back of house.
