Best sushi spot in Jacksonville, hands down. This place consistently delivers top-tier quality. The fish is always incredibly fresh and the food is super consistent. It honestly beats Norikase in both value and reliability. Service is excellent as well. We recently had a mishap with one of our takeout orders, and the way the team handled it completely reinforced why we keep coming back. They went above and beyond to make it right without hesitation. Special shout-out to Chase, the manager, he truly went above and beyond and handled everything professionally and graciously. That level of service is rare and appreciated. If you’re looking for the best sushi in Jax, this is the place.
I celebrated my 50th bday and chose O-Ku. Heard many amazing things BUT to tell you it’s amazing is not doing it justice. Rachel was by far the best person to have for our waitress. She took us on an adventure and the journey was amazing from start to finish. Not only was she amazing but she felt like family. She brought me a gift bag and dessert on the house that made me smile ear to ear. Come visit and ask for Rachel every time. Can’t wait to return.
Saw this place on TikTok for as a good date night spot, and on the last night of my gf visit in Florida I decided to take her here and try this place out ! Oku has 2 level a downstairs level and a rooftop where it see Jax beach as well have heater during the cold breeze. We order drinks: My partner got a sugar and spice with tequila with a sugar rim which was good combo of spice and sweet not heavy on the tequila as well I order the forbidden fruit which was a good kick We started off with a bit of apps of seaweed salad nothing goes wrong with that for sure, order the wagyu temaki which was amazing as well the rolls were freshly made ! I also got the octopus nigiri which was amazing as well forgot to take a picture of it But before the rolls arrived our server brought us shrimp tempura which he said was a gift from him! The service provided by our server was great! I really enjoyed it and it definitely made the first experience great definitely will do this again when my partner flys back out to Florida !
We are in Jacksonville for a game and stumbled upon O-Ku while looking for a dinner spot — what a fantastic find! We ordered a few sushi rolls and the wagyu tartare toast, and everything was incredible. My husband loved his beer, and I had the “Take Me to Church” cocktail — so good! Our server was wonderful and very thoughtful — he even brought us a complimentary rock shrimp and kept the sauce on the side in case our 6 year old didn’t like it. Such a kind touch! For dessert, we got the yuzu eclair, which was delicious, and to our surprise, we were also brought a plate of mochi while we waited. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. Highly recommend O-Ku to anyone visiting Jacksonville — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
This was hands down the best sushi restaurant we’ve tried in Jacksonville. Every dish was flawless, and the salmon was truly top quality. I’m usually not a big fan of cucumber in sushi, but even that tasted amazing with the way it was paired with the other ingredients. The only thing I didn’t find to be a perfect 10/10 was the dessert, but that could just be my personal taste or maybe I went in with expectations that were too high. Either way, everything else was outstanding, and I would 100% recommend this place. The service was excellent as well, and I honestly can’t wait to go back!
