Lots of neat stuff not all are antiques, unfortunately just about everything I looked at was way overpriced.It's too bad I had a couple of hundred in my pocket to spend but couldn't find any value.
Lots of cool stuff, weird owners. I couldn’t go anywhere without someone following me and I got told off for FaceTiming my sister while I was in there, didn’t even make it halfway in. Immediately left; whoever the lady is that’s working there ruined the whole experience. Good thing there’s other fun antique places to go to.
Over the years we have shopped here and loved the nostalgia, the items and the people who work there. I'm not sure what they've suffered but my husband is over sixty and carries a sling bag for his phone, wallet and meds. A man asked him to leave his "back pack" or let him look inside of it. I don't know what the solution is, but we are tired of being treated like criminals. We left. There are many places in town and there is the internet. I will miss the store but not THAT much. We aren't paying anymore to be treated that way.
The Packrat is so much fun to walk through! Like someone else on here mentioned, it really is like taking a walk through time. A little bit of EVERYTHING, but so well organized! The owner at the front counter is an absolute sweetheart and the employees in the store are incredibly helpful!!
I really don’t know what store the previous commenter was at but it is completely different than my experience which was OUTSTANDING! I was kindly greeted and welcomed in by Joann. I had some specific things I was interested in finding and she guided me right to them. She knew the store and the contents well. There was another gentleman working as well and he was friendly and attentive. I really wonder if the previous reviewer had an ax to grind or some other ulterior motive. I had a GREAT visit, got some great stuff and will certainly be returning!
