Amazing food. Steak was tender and all the sides were amazing. Great service and good cocktails. Spend under $300 for 7 different items incl a fine cut of steak and 4 drinks between us. Amazing price point for the quality and quantity of food and drinks. Will be back for the Bistecca!
I had a lovely New Year meet-up with a friend at this restaurant, and it was such an enjoyable experience. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was honestly the first perfectly cooked medium-rare steak I’ve had in Melbourne — I was truly impressed. The fish was also absolutely delicious. The broccoli salad we ordered with the sauce paired beautifully with the dishes and complemented the flavours really well. On top of the amazing food, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our evening even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful dinner and a great time overall. Highly recommended!
Palermo gave us an outstanding dining experience at Melbourne and we were truly pleased with the quality of food and service. We went on a Sunday evening for dinner and the place is crowded. Highly recommend to make prior reservation. We ordered Provoleta (cheese eggplant), and beef Tartar as starters and I must say these dishes are tasty and interesting. If you love warm cheesy texture dish then you would like Provoleta. It’s also our first time eating beef tartar with pickled cabbage. We felt a bit strange initially as it combines fresh beef taste with a hinge of sourness from the pickled cabbage but as I ate more of it, I start to like it more towards the end. Then come our mains and sides. I must say those guys are the kitchen and grilling the steak know damn well what they are doing! Steak we ordered came from their special menu for the day and they were perfectly done to medium rare. they were juicy and nice and they go very well with Argentinian red wine the service staff recommended to us (perfect). Sides we had were charred broccoli and Zanahorias (charred carrots). Both sides were excellent with very good mix of sauce. Just a note, their sides portion can be quite huge so I do recommend to order one for sharing first. Finally we end off the dinner on a sweet note with dessert flan! It’s an amazing experience and we will surely return again next time when we are back in Melbourne. A feedback for improvement would be the time taken to wait for our mains. It took beyond 30min after we finished our started - it’s still alright for us but some would probably find the waiting time too long.
We hosted our company Christmas party here and had a wonderful experience. The set menu was very good, and sharing the dishes worked surprisingly well. The highlights were definitely the dulce de leche for dessert and the incredibly delicious tuna sashimi. Overall, the atmosphere feels very authentic—you can smell the freshly grilled meat, which adds to the experience. The waitstaff were very attentive and professional throughout the evening. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality and ambiance justify it.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Palermo this year. Everything was perfect. They seated us in a beautiful area with not too many people around, and they greeted us with such kindness and warmth. The food was excellent, there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy. I wasn’t too sure about the gnocchi at first, but after the first bite, I had no regrets. The service was fantastic, and the drink recommendations matched our dishes perfectly. Well done! We’re looking forward to dining here again.
