This is one of my son's top restaurant choices in Cardiff and we were celebrating so, even though it was a dark and dreary Tuesday, it was a great option. The dishes on offer were very familiar to him, and he recommended various small plates including flatbread, padron peppers, croquettes, etc. All perfectly executed and delicious. We shared an amazing porkeat dish - perfectly charred and tender - and a fish dish between the four of us, and both were superb. Ritchie, our waiter, was attentive and a real pleasure. Great food. Great restaurant. Will be back soon...
Food here was very good. Such a variation of taste and flavours. We opted for the chefs favourite option which consisted of 7 menu items. Drinks were also on point with some very well made cocktails. Only contradiction was the space was a little cramped often being bumped as people walk past. We were invited after the meal to goto a private cocktail bar in Pasture. The drinks there were out of this world. Overall a great experience.
Small and compact but with a comfortable corner table for two on a Friday afternoon. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout the visit. Enthusiastic in their descriptions as they brought each dish. The focused menu ensures the importance of quality. It's described as a tapas style menu, but each dish not part of the large plates menu were larger than I expect of tapas. The t-bone steak and pork chop weren't just cooked extremely well, they were also sliced as part of the presentation to the table. Parallel by Pasture is busy for a reason... it was a very enjoyable meal. Stool seating at the bar after the meal also enables a chance to view the open kitchen in action.
Parallel by Pasture delivers beautifully crafted dishes that feel both modern and comforting in stylish and relax sitting. The standout of the lunch was BBQ scallop, beautifully caramelised, smoky and incredible balanced. The short rib croquettes were another highlight - crisp and rich in flavour, same as beef carpaccio on soft milk bread with capers and mustard seeds. Everything is plated with real artistry and counter seating adds to the charm. Beyond the food, customer service was truly outstanding - warm and attentive. Combined with everything, Parallel is an exceptional place to dine in Cardiff.
Guys, I want to tell you something important. If you're not Welsh and you're as stupid as we are, but you've fallen in love with Wales like we have, and you're traveling around Wales without understanding how things work here. Then I'm going to tell you that after five hundred and fifty-two attempts, we've finally realized that we need to book a table for everything, everywhere, and at all times. You won't be allowed to have lunch or dinner in any restaurant unless you've booked a table in advance. However, we were lucky enough to find this restaurant after several rejections from other establishments. And the Celtic gods heard our prayers! and they fed us the most delicious food we had tasted in a long time. While we were eating, we were curious about the type of cuisine, as it did not seem to be Mediterranean, French, or even English. However, our suspicions were confirmed when we asked the waiter, who confirmed that these were Welsh dishes. Fortunately, everything was very tasty and even delightful. Everything was grilled, even the appetizers. Special thanks to the chef. And to the entire team. The waiters were very friendly and pleasant, and they were not intrusive. They appeared when needed. The service was excellent. I noticed how cleanly they prepared for new customers. There were cloth napkins on the table, and the cutlery was in separate containers rather than on the table. The tables were regularly cleaned after each guest. I would like to thank you again for the excellent food. I fell in love with Wales again. With love and gratitude from Russian guests from Lithuania and Ukraine.💖🍀
