I’m hoping the business reads the feedback - I shared with best intentions. I like that they use organic grass fed beef for the burgers - and the Duke burger was really good. The fries that came out where lukewarm which seemed unnecessary for how busy the restaurant was. I also got a bunch of tiny, bottom-of-the-bag fries. There were maybe five fries in the order that were longer than 2 inches long. Looking at other pictures I can see that that’s not typical, and a wound up, throwing at least half of them away. It doesn’t make a good impression. Also, seeing some of the pictures on here of the fried shallots on the burgers makes my experience seem a little below average. It’s the whole experience was closer to three stars, but I’m giving a fourth based on the potential of what it could be - and the pictures that I’m seeing of other people’s experiences there. I’ll try again at some point in the future, and hopefully we’ll have a better experience!
No fuss type of place. Good burgers and sides. Straight to the point kind of menu. Portions are very generous. Especially the salads and sides almost seem like they should be full plates.
Came here spur of the moment after a hike in the hills & we were so glad we did! The beer was cold & delicious. The burgers made to perfection & mouth watering! The small size portion of chili cheese fries was super yummy! Good quality grass fed beef burgers & you can totally tell. Quality I’m happy paying a higher price for! Will definitely come back here!
Fries: Impressively crispy for how thick cut they are and was a wonderful surprise. Slightly under salted for my taste but easy to add more, not so much the other way around Bun: Good consistency and no sogginess. I prefer my buns to be a little more toasted than a "1" on the toaster setting equivalent Toppings: The fired scallions had a light flavor and batter and weren't too oily, lettuce was fresh and a nice sized pickle slice. The downside here and partly why knocked a star off the burger is the tomato while perfect in thickness, was OVERLY soft and mealy. Completely threw off every bite. Meat: The other part why I took a star off the order, half the burger was perfectly cooked and just juicy while the other half was overcooked and completely dry. Would have preferred consistency and had it either way. The burger was also 25% ish short of the bun so the last couple bites would've been only bread if I had ate it. Classic burger, hard to go wrong but I expected a little more refinement for 20 dollars.
