I have no problems with the doctor or the nurses but there’s no excuse for the lady at the front desk. Only one lady was kind enough to give us free formula which is why this review isn’t 1 star My daughter was diagnosed with strep throat, and despite having a valid prescription, they refused to provide the medication she needed. We asked the lady at the front desk to transfer the prescription to a CVS closer to my house and didn’t. Not only did she not send it to the cvs that was close to my house but she also didn’t send it to ANY CVS. Strep throat is not something to take lightly, and delaying treatment can cause serious health complications, especially for a child. The attitude on that lady was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed zero urgency or care. When it comes to children’s health, this kind of negligence is inexcusable. I would strongly caution parents and anyone who values proper medical care to think twice before coming here.
I brought my 12 month old twins here for their 12 month check up after not loving TCH pediatrics, and I was aggressively disappointed with this practice, despite the Google Reviews that made it sound amazing. We arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment. I even completed all of the required paperwork beforehand and brought it into the office. We watched at least 10 patients that arrived after us be seen first. After 30 minutes and my twins screaming, we asked what the issue was. They offered us to be seen by another provider, which took an additional 20 minutes. Our appointment was at 10, we were not brought back to a room until 10:40. The provider we saw was sweet, but respectfully needed to retire. She had troubles navigating EPIC, kept referring to my child as the wrong name, did not interact with them/check for typical development milestones, or address the basic concerns I had. She put her stethoscope on them and walked out and told us to make sure to get their labs drawn. I think she said a total of 10 words during the entire encounter. Never received an AVS, next steps, access to MyChart, etc. Such a shame what the world of peds has come to.
Dr. Pankaj is a wonderful physician! She was so sweet and truly understanding of what my child was going through. When I called the office because my daughter had a fever, they were very responsive and scheduled us an appointment for the very next day. I really appreciate how quickly they were able to see her—we never have to wait a month for an appointment like we used to with the TCH providers at Texas Children’s Clinic. I’m so grateful for the care and compassion Dr. Pankaj and her office provide.
Right now Crystal answered the phone with no mood or intention of providing customer service. The nurses are always great but the front desk staff has always had this weird unwelcoming attitude. Will update soon if anything improves.
My daughter has been going since birth and the nurses and doctors are lovely, it’s the office staff that is an issue. The last 2 weeks I have been getting a text saying I owe money which is weird because they ask for payment before I even see the doctor. I call and they tell me they are charging me for waiting in the lobby from an incident that happened on December of 2024. Why did they not charge me then? Why did no one mention this would be an extra charge? Why are they waiting 8 months to charge me? Idk I guess they are losing patients and trying to nickel and dimes the ones they do have.
