The team is professional, communicates clearly and often about what is happening. They clean up any mess each day, leaving the house clean and accessible. They delt with our city required sewer lateral on our 130 year old house and were aware of all possible issues. They did a terrific job even completing designs in the new cement to match our stamped cement. Amazing!
We recently bought a home in Oakland that required a PSL test. Since the property is part of a private development with no HOA, things quickly became complicated. The testing involved not only our section of the line but also a shared pipeline used by seven other homeowners in the community. Coordinating this required collaboration between the City of Oakland and EBMUD. To make matters more challenging, the PSL contractor hired by the seller’s agent backed out after two weeks for reasons beyond our control. That’s when I reached out to Alex at PipeSpy. He listened patiently and immediately took action. The very next day, James visited the property to conduct an initial assessment. They clearly explained the entire process—outlining both the best- and worst-case scenarios—so we knew exactly what to expect. The Pipe Spy people did a great job in bringing our drainage system into the 21st-century. And it was a big job because we live on a hillside and had to run a very long replacement pipe to connect with the mains. The Pipe Spy folks worked quickly and thoroughly and hopefully I’ll never have to contact them again :) The project manager James was great, friendly and knowledgeable.
James Hall-Gallagher and his team did an excellent job on our sewer lateral project, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. While the work required some trenching, the area was restored so perfectly it looked completely untouched. The team was highly professional and honest. For instance, one of the supervisors not only fixed the immediate issue but also pointed out an additional leak. He repaired one pipe and advised me to address the other to prevent further basement damage. The project was completed in the timely manner they promised. I was very impressed with their workmanship and integrity and would highly recommend them.
Simply stated, this firm does outstanding work. They (Ray and Alex) are professional, they communicate extremely well keeping the client apprised of the situation from beginning to end, they use the video technology to assess the condition of the pipes (Amazingly clear video), they informed us of that which was the city's (Oakland) responsibility and that which was our responsibility, they were fast, they kept our house clean, and considering their efforts and the tools and technologies they employed, they were very reasonably priced. This is the second time we have used this firm, and they are the only firm we will call. I highly recommend them.
