Love this shop! Preloved Houston is so well-organized and full of gems. Amy gave me the best experience; she was so helpful and explained everything perfectly. I'll definitely be coming back every week to check out the new clothes!
I was reluctant but did sign-ur for multiple booths cuz I was able to offer items that other shops would not receive. But when I saw earrings and braclet were missing from a jewlry set I consigned I asked the staff if they had been reserved or put back for some reason. I had to hear their defense was only that 'people steal' for over 15 minutes and I had no recourse. I have a very negative view since I felt that a 2 person staff for such a small area should have been a layer of protection. If the staff had been more involved and observant of shoppers they could have been more aware. Also for the amount of time I spent having to lable/tag my items (over an hour plus drive & setup time) geared to revenue I received it was Very much a 'cash cow' for the manager/owner.
I had the best experience at this store Saturday ! It is definitely not your ordinary thrift shop. The concept is so unique I love that you can actually sell your own clothes here. The space is incredibly clean, organized, and just has a great vibe overall. A huge shoutout to the employee who helped me (Amy) she was absolutely sweet and took her time explaining how everything works. You can tell she truly loves her job! I’m already planning to come back every week for the new discounts and can’t wait to start selling my own items here. Highly recommend!
I know it wouldn't be fair to rate based on the prices or selection because those aren't up to them, they're up to the sellers. So this is just a little FYI, most sellers here sell stuff from their closet they don't wear anymore, so the selections are mostly contemporary millennial clothing. This is not the place you go to for cool, hip styles, or vintage. With that being said, sometimes I do find vintage for a good deal here. My selling experience wasn't as good as my shopping experience. The earning wasn't worth the time and effort. But that got me thinking, it's because there aren't enough shoppers, so I no longer sell, but continue to shop, to support local sellers. I love that the majority of the profit goes to sellers. I usually find some good basic millennial clothes, candles, books. Hope it'll get busier and there are more shoppers and more booths are filled because I really love this concept. I know they went through management changes and there was up and down but I haven't personally encountered any problems. Every employee I met was nice and helpful. The store was recently built so it's nice and clean and always smell good in there. And there is usually only 1 or 2 employees, and I don't imagine they get paid much so we can all do our part in leaving the place better than we find it.
I absolutely love this store! The idea of being able to sell your own clothes is so cool and makes the whole shopping experience feel special and eco-friendly. I stopped by last Wednesday and had such a great experience. I have to mention the amazing customer service—I was helped by a sweet, young girl who went above and beyond. She answered all my questions with so much patience and kindness, and really made me feel comfortable. I’m definitely coming back and will be telling all my friends about this place!
