Our family loved the food and service here. We started with appetizers (not pictured). I highly recommend the stuffed garlic cheese bread. The Big Mac pizza was a huge hit. My favorite was the toasted raviolo pizza. We also ordered a couple pastas to share. The gnocchi was so delicious, but the small size of the order made us glad none of us had ordered it as our only dish. For the price ($22), it didn’t stretch as much as the stuffed pizzas that were the same price. Service was great—really stayed on top of refilling drinks, clearing plates, and boxing up our leftovers. I’m glad I found this place and got my family to try somewhere new. We will be back!
Listen, I’m not trying to say this isn’t a pizza place — it is — but it’s so much more than that. Every time I’ve eaten at Press, the food has been not only a tasting experience, but an aesthetic one. I love eating at places that bring together unexpected flavors in intentional, creative ways, and Press will tickle your brain just as much as your palate. Every plate I’ve ever had here is as visually and conceptually engaging as it is delicious. The people, art, and atmosphere are super awesome too. Don’t sleep on Press — this place is doing something really special. [Apologies in advance for the half eaten food pics - I clearly haven't been able to refrain from eating before snapping a photo!]
Loved this place! The pizza is delicious and original. I love the funky menu options. I would recommend one of the personal sized pizzas per person. They are delicious and worth it. We tried the. Big Mac and the Toasted Rav pizza. The Big Mac really tasted like a Big Mac. Great stuff! And it may be a St. Louis heresy but I would almost say the toasted rav pizza is better than real toasted rav (almost lol). Seriously though, great food, quick service, clean restaurant with a nice atmosphere, and even clean bathrooms. I really enjoyed it.
I'm hardly ever a member of the Clean Plate Club but I definitely joined yesterday after my first visit to Press! Went there for lunch around 12:30pm, sat at the bar & had the best experience. From the friendly gentleman taking care of us to the immaculate surroundings and curated local art really set the vibes for what was an incredible meal. The caesar salad was the first thing to blow me away, it is the real deal folks! It's an elevated version of crisp romaine draped with a housemade saucy tangy, pops-in-your-mouth caesar elixir laden with the juiciest anchovies you'll ever see in St. Louis, no dried bits here! Their gastronomic attentiveness to the salad extends to the tagliatelle bolognese. It is very evident you're eating fresh, housemade pasta and it's nestled within this deeply rich, hearty beef and pork sauce that has clearly been slow-cooked to absolute perfection. I was looking for someone's Italian grandmother in the kitchen! Seriously! Perfect meal for a chilly December afternoon that will warm your tummy and just make you feel good! My partner thoroughly enjoyed his Ozark mushroom pizza. While I didn't try it, the presentation alone was impressive and he raved about the plentiful kale & truffle jack toppings. Press Pizza & Pasta has officially made my list as a go-to spot for local food excellence. It's now one of those places I'll ask people if they've been and if not, I'll encourage them to go immediately and report back! Friendly folks there too, and that also adds to my new appreciation for this local treasure!
Great little StL gem perfect for a casual date night serving up unique stuffed pizza and pasta...and did I mention the stuffed pizzas can be made gluten-free? The drinks on tap were super tasty and not your standard on-tap drinks. The gluten-free Big Mac pizza pays great homage to it's namesake with a perfect balance of hamburger, crust, special sauce, and more. Stuffed toasted ravioli pizza tasted just like the real thing in a great pizza form (although we would likely ask them to go lighter on the cheese/cream topping next time). The leftovers reheated amazingly well too. Looking forward to our next dinner there.
