Our puppy loves playing here. They keep the dogs safe, have dedicated play and nap time for the puppies, and even call you if they notice anything. We trust them to care for our puppy.
Part of me doesn’t want to write this review as I want to be selfish and make sure they always have time for my girl Penny.. from my very first contact with George has been nothing short of amazing. We had a board and train scheduled in advance and unfortunately my puppy ended up with hookworms and we had to cancel our first board and train, George worked with me for almost 2 months and made sure when Penny had a negative result he could take her, he also offered a medical board and train which she stayed with him for a week. When we got her back she was pretty much trained to potty outside and not on pee pads. We finally had her board and train and she is so well behaved and so much easier to manage. Sent me videos during board and train, easy to communicate with, I cannot recommend them enough.. Entire staff is great, we had another trainer who works with them come to our home Julie prior and she also was extremely helpful and sent me videos on her own merit as she had been to our home and seen Penny when she was just 10 weeks old.
Dave and Becky have created a home away from home for a wonderful found family of dog lovers. Our lab took classes there, went to puppy day camp, and we are regulars at Sols membership based dog park. I started going to Sols so my dog could socialize with dog friends and our trips there have become as much an opportunity for me to be with an amazing group of dog peeps. Puppy Manners and Sols is a one of a kind community and I feel so lucky we stumbled across it three years ago.
I have taken two classes at Puppy Manners. My first was with my Labrador, Pixie, for Reading with Rover preparation. Pixie and I had a blast in the class and passed our therapy dog test with ease. (I’m so proud of my girl!) We are excited to volunteer with Reading with Rover—it’s been on my list of things I’ve wanted to do for a very long time! Additionally, my cattle dog pup and I just finished Puppy Jumpstart at Puppy Manners, and it was a great experience. As a professional in the dog training industry, I was impressed with the practical and clear instruction provided in the class. Being a student and working with my dog in a new environment, with constructive exposure to new people, scents, sights, and dogs, was a joy. The ninety-minute classes were perfect, allowing time for instruction, practice, socialization, and questions. The trainers were knowledgeable, patient, and kind, creating a fun and encouraging environment for everyone.
I am so grateful for Becky and the puppy manners crew. My husband was weary of getting a big dog, because he would be a first time dog owner and wanted to make sure we did proper training. We took our first dog, Burt, to puppy manners for puppy socialization during the pandemic. That, in addition to puppacino + star barks training courses, helped us train our dream dog. Becky is an expert in her field. She not only gave us the tools to train Burt, but also explained ways in which dogs think, impacting their behavior. Burt is a social, sweet, polite boy and we don’t have to worry about him being naughty at the dog park, when we have guests or when we are in new places. Now almost 3 years later, we have adopted a rescue dog, Corn, who is beginning to flourish because of Becky’s training and support. I recommend puppy manners to anyone who loves their dog and would do anything for them! If that is you, give puppy manners a call. Also, my dogs just love it there!!! See photos for proof it is puppy Disneyland
