Really good food. The steak was well cooked and the chunky chips were crispy. I’d also recommend the corn on the cob. The atmosphere is unsettling though, no decorations and there are bright lights. The service was also odd as the waiters stand and watch you eat. I’d recommend it but know that it’s not as nice of an atmosphere as many other Edinburgh restaurants.
Rancho never let's you down. Fantastically cooked steaks, well seasoned, superbly priced with salad and chips, and I highly recommend the trio rancho! Nice wines, very good and attentive service, and the manager Ron was a great host. Make this a stop on your journey to Edinburgh if you're in the mood for great steak and enjoying a lovely, ambient little corner of the city.
Great service, wed booked for a large group of 14 and everyone enjoyed their meals, mostly steaks but also lamb and fish. Great value. Already cut into the steak before taking a pic!
The staff were lovely: Kind, attentive, professional and wonderful. The food however was sub par for the price, and the steak was borderline inedible. We both got the rump steak with various sauces and while the sauces were tasty, the steak was too chewy to be eaten. I ordered a medium rare steak but it came rare, which I thought might be better, but I was unfortunately incorrect. The lighting was fluorescent and intense which might fit the southern vibe in the US at this moment but I can’t say I was impressed. Other than the staff who were very kind, this place would have only merited a single star from me.
The food is really good en the people are really friendly. The price is good for the quality.
