After spending around 120 minutes in the waiting room, I was finally called to check my symptoms but the doctor took another 30 minutes to finally get into the room, check on me and what was going on with me. For being an “URGENT CARE” they take their sweet time on everything and that’s humiliating. If I could leave zero stars I would.
Despite not feeling good, I had a good experience. From reception to the medical assistant to the doctor to the pharmacy, I was treated well and with concern.
Having a doctor that actually cares about the patients needs and wants rather than trying to rush them out of the office. Made me feel like I was just another number rather than a real patient. If I’m paying out of pocket because I don’t have insurance I would expect to be treated better and have my concerns addressed rather than rush me out of the visit. My primary doctor is located at the daybreak location and have never had an issue and have always been treated with respect. I went to the redwood location because it was the closest option at the moment but the way the doctor treated me I will never recommend this location and it gets me even more upset of the way the doctor treated me knowing that most patients being seen at this location are low income and English isn’t their first language and wouldn’t have been able to speak up for themselves. That doctor that helped me out needs to be more patient and have compassion for the people she is seeing rather than be in a bad mood. In my opinion she shouldn’t be “helping” any patients
Our nurse and medical assistant were incredible, patient, and empathetic. However, our doctor (Tamiyah Dinh, APRN) was rude, had no bedside manner, and rushed through the appointment in under 5 minutes. She didn’t greet my partner and me when she walked in, interrupted me while I explained my pain and symptoms, and acted like I was inconveniencing her by giving too much information about how the pain felt. I told her how I thought the pain could possibly be related to a preexisting condition of mine and she acted like I was stupid for connecting the two, and then told us incorrect information about my preexisting condition to justify her response. She sent a prescription for naproxen and a Toradol shot and slammed the door when she left the room. I was shocked at how little empathy she displayed, especially considering my state at the time—I was shaking from pain and could barely gather my thoughts. She refused to even speculate on what my pain could be caused by, and left me without any explanation for why it was so severe. I don’t know how she could have decided which medications I was given if she really had no idea of what was going on, which made me feel like she simply didn’t want to take the time to explain her thought process to me. I left the appointment feeling unheard, frustrated, and disheartened. Her dismissive nature made the appointment uncomfortable and made it difficult to ask questions or get explanations. I was very dissatisfied with my experience at that appointment because of this.
