Top notch bakery! Everything is delicious and fresh. The coffee is always on point. Best bakery I've found in Milwaukee. Also it's pet friendly! Try the cheese croissant and monkey bread.
We just love this local bakery. Just discovered it. What an assortment! Delicious breads. Fresh baked homemade soups sandwiches to fill your belly. Don't get me started on all the pastries, the sweets, the muffins, the scones, fresh breads. Oh my goodness! Coffees and teas to keep you going. The staff is super helpful We're definitely coming back #RocketBaby You're on 🔥
Rocket Baby has great food and friendly staff, but after three disappointing orders in a row, I’m really frustrated. The online ordering system is the main issue. I recently placed an order for two breakfast sandwiches and a monkey bread. The monkey bread was listed as available, and I was charged for it. But during the hour plus wait for my sandwiches to be made, the monkey bread sold out, because they were still selling it in person while I waited. By the time I arrived, it was gone, and I was told it had sold out, and then refunded. Why isn’t an item claimed once it’s paid for online? Why do in-person customers get priority over people who ordered ahead and already paid? It’s incredibly frustrating to plan ahead, pay early, and still lose out on what you ordered. I appreciate that staff offer a replacement when something’s unavailable, but it misses the point. If I order pizza and they’re out, giving me free cheesy bread isn’t the same, I wanted the pizza. That’s why I ordered from that place in the first place. On top of that, my last few sandwich orders have been incorrect, once completely missing bacon, and all I got was a tired “sorry.” Rocket Baby really does have good food and nice people, but their online ordering system and consistency need improvement.
It feels like a Parisian bakery, without the attitude. Beautifully decorated, clean with a few tables. Nice small park to west of building. Great quality, delicious. I particularly recommend the almond croissant, which often sells out quickly and is not made daily. I highly recommend reserving your order for almond croissant using the online system. Most highly recommend
I’ve heard about this place being the best bakery in town for ages, but I’ve only had bits and pieces from friends in the past, and not always fresh. So i finally gave it a good try this time to give it a proper review. Perhaps it has been so hyped up for me that i was a bit disappointed. They are solid. But not “knock me off my socks” good. Because there are so many up and coming bakeries and coffee shops that are doing a stellar job. I actually really wanted to try the morning bun, but a guy just in front if me cleared them out. So i went for my second choice, kouign amann, and bought it. But when my order was up, i was told they had oversold. They were very nice and apologetic and would have refunded me or i could choose something else. So i went with the chocolate croissant. Chocolate croissant When i proposed going here, one of my friends voted it down and said let’s try somewhere else. She had tried their croissant here before and thought they were the same as Walmart. But i said let’s try anyway, cuz I’ve heard better. Unfortunately, the chocolate croissant did disappoint. I would have gotten the almond ones but they were out of those. These were so so, and more dense than flaky. I’m pretty particular about croissants. Thankfully, other items didn’t disappoint. Blueberry cream danish This was really good. Like, wow, size and taste, one of the best garnishes I’ve had. Bacon cheddar chive danish Another really good Danish, especially if you prefer savory over sweet. Could really taste the chives. Multigrain bread Good bread. Not sure that it’s the best bread I’ve ever had. Ft. Anodyne coffee Inside is not much of a cafe, and there is very limited seating. Outside, there is a huge pavilion-like area with huge tables. So overall, SOLID bakery with rustic vibes. But not your trendy cafe to hang out. There were a lot of takeouts, including LARGE orders of pastries - I kept seeing them disappear before my eyes.
