Roland Slate provided outstanding customer service and craftsmanship when repairing the slate roof on our church. The project was complex, and their proposal was extremely detailed, clearly explaining all materials and labor costs involved. Any challenges during the repairs outside the scope of the project were promptly communicated by email or phone, ensuring transparency and avoiding surprise costs. They also shared photos throughout and after the repairs, which gave us confidence that everything was completed correctly. I highly recommend Roland Slate for any roofing project. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to quality are exceptional.
I had a leak in my slate roof. I called Roland and they responded quickly with an assessment of the problem. Set a time to do the work and proceeded. Unfortunately the roof needed more work than expected,but they returned in a timely fashion and thoroughly repaired my leaky roof. Everyone from the supersvisor,,the technicians and officee staff were wonderful to work with. I would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.
Where does one begin when it comes to a roof replacement - Roland Slate Service Co., Inc. Excellent in many ways- Communication from the owner, office staff and roofing crews was immediate not days later. The roofing crews themselves- arrived early and stayed until later in the day and were always professional. A clean up was done everyday with a thorough cleanup when the roof replacement was completed. The experience in the field of roof replacements is obvious because of the efficiency of the project from beginning to the end. No delays or extension of the roof replacement timeline. In other words, completed within the time frame given which was deeply appreciated. The accessibility of the owner and I can not forget the sales representative, who answered all our questions which helped in our decision to hire Roland Slate Service. The bottom line is: If you are needing or thinking about a roof replacement, you should have Roland Slate Service on your list for an estimate at the very least. Roof replacements are an investment. We are appreciative that we had Roland Slate Service do our roof replacement.
Roland Slate did a complete roof replacement on my house. They did an incredible job, and they completed the task in less time than initially estimated, which was great. Their sales team was transparent and honest. They quoted me on several different services, but were upfront about which ones were more essential and time sensitive and which ones could be put off; I really appreciated that. I definitely plan to work with them in the future if the roof needs any maintenance.
We've used Roland Slate on two occasions to maintain the roof on our 1930s Cape Cod home. The first instance (in 2019) involved a complete re-roofing. The Roland Slate representative was personable, candid, and factual regarding the state of our roof and patiently walked us through three possible options, and their costs, for our consideration. The Roland Slate crew that installed the new roof was first rate; they were on time, experienced, and did a phenomenal job of cleaning up the mess. We continue to be pleased with the quality of Roland Slate's work and materials. In July 2025, based on our earlier favorable experience, we asked that Roland Slate assess the status of chimney flashing that appeared to be loose. The Roland Slate assessor found that the flashing and under-laying brickwork appeared to have been damaged by a lightning strike the previous month. The Roland Slate crew assigned to repair the flashing and chimney were courteous, experienced, and professional. We will continue to use Roland Slate for our roof maintenance and will recommend them at every opportunity.
