I purchased a couch from room and board in a non in-stock fabric that took a few months to be delivered (this was expected). The delivery was seamless, on time, and inexpensive (I believe it was like $150 for an almost $5000 purchase). Immediately upon receiving the couch I realized the color was just not right for my space, despite having seen samples in person - but I decided to sit with it for a while to see if it grew on me. It did not. A month or so later I reached out to customer service to see if there was anything I could do to exchange the couch for another color, and to my surprise they said yes! I went in a few times to look at fabric samples and finally made a decision maybe a month later. I was able to keep my original couch during the 8 week delivery window, they just asked I put a sheet over it to minimize the potential of any damage. I couldn’t be more grateful for this customer service experience and I am in love with my new couch color. It’s been about a year since this experience and about 8 months since I’ve had the new couch, so I felt the need to leave a 5 star review. I would 10/10 recommend room & board for the customer service experience alone, and I hope to be able to give them my business again in the future!
I worked with Wilfredo who was super helpful and very patient. He spent long time with me discussing options for several pieces of furniture. I ordered 2 couches and a bed to start with (hoping to order more pieces in a few months, as all our furniture is old and uncomfortable & we need more storage). Also, free fabric samples were helpful in making decisions.
I have had Room and Board furniture in my homes in Chicago and Florida for 20 years and it lasts forever. We have passed down many of the pieces to our kids and grandkids and they are still holding up. This showroom is one of my favorite places to spend time. They have it all and the design ideas are fantastic. The sales staff were super nice and the prices for the value I think are reasonable. I enjoy this store and it’s a great way to test the furniture before buying.
They just introduced a ton of new as of September. Really enjoy the high level of customer service that R&B offers. Feel free to ask for a swatch of fabric or leather if you want to take them home to consider your options. A lot of options to consider, but sometimes a little overwhelmingly so!
C'était ma première visite dans un magasin Room and Board; auparavant, je n'avais vu que les catalogues. J'ai adoré chaque pièce du magasin, car c'est un joli mélange de pièces modernes et contemporaines. C'était spacieux et sur trois étages, mais il y a un escalier mécanique. J'adore la façon dont ils décorent les petits et les grands espaces et montrent ce que l'on peut faire avec leurs meubles dans les petits espaces tout en créant des environnements chaleureux et accueillants. Je pense même avoir trouvé un cadeau pour un ami pour qui il est difficile de faire plaisir. Les employés sont accueillants mais vous laissent parcourir et ne sont pas pressants. Ils présentent des meubles pour le salon, la salle à manger, la chambre, les enfants et l'extérieur, y compris quelques aménagements sympas sur leurs balcons.
