Games were fun. Overall environment is cute. However; when ordering food staff was rude and burned/made our oder incorrectly.
My bf and I have gone here about 4 times, each time spending $150-$250. we live kind of far so it’s a fun twice a year thing. Well within the last year, they changed the likelihood of getting prizes in claw machines. first 3 times we went, for that amount of money we would get 6-8 things. this last time we went we got maybe 3? before there was an employee that we asked “hey i don’t think it’s possible to get this plushie” and they came over and tested it themselves, realized we were right, then adjusted the settings for us and gave us a couple free tries. super sick that they tested it themselves.. last time we went, the employees kinda just started at us and if we had an issue with a machine, they’d just put it right back. instead of testing it. (it’s a known thing that round 1 employees in japan will help you if you get stuck) so maybe they weren’t getting enough profits here, but my brother had the same problem. spent $150 got 2 things. this was one of my favorite places with quality prizes, but we will NOT be going back.
We finally got around to come by here to check it out. Like the rest of the people, the claw games are pretty rigged. The buttons on certain games doesn't even register a press and end up not in the spot you wanted to put it at. The prices for the games are pretty high for what they are worth. Staff was pretty reluctant to help when we won a prize. As we only played the claw games and didn't experience anything else, we can definitely tell that it is probably not worth any extra to do the other activities they have to offer. I would also like to point out that they should organize the prizes together. Different rows have either plushies or figures so you have to roam around to look for whatever game you want to play. Put all the figures on one row and plushies on another row. This place is literally on the other side of town from where we live. Definitely not worth the 40+ min drive to get here for the underwhelming experience. As the main reason we came here was because of a collaboration they were doing, but they didn't have any of the items for the collaboration. For anyone who's looking to come here, I would probably say save your money and find an alternative.
We like coming here to play the coin drop games and let our kid get his energy out. We don't usually eat more than ice cream and snacks. Today we decided to try dinner. I ordered the chasu bowl because I wanted the Calpico as my drink. The sign clearly states that the Japanese food comes with a calpico and gyoza. The guy behind the counter who looked bored and/or overworked puts a regular soda cup on the counter. When I ask him if it comes with a Calpico, he flatly tells me no. No explanation. Just a flat no. I tried to point at the sign that states what the combo was but it was clear I was not going to win with him. The chashu bowl had maybe six pieces of pork in it, only one of which was full sized. There was an UNGODLY amount of pickled ginger on top that would have ruined the whole thing if I didn't know what it was. We paid $50 for our food for three people. We could have spent just as much at cheesecake factory and had much better food. And next time we probably will. Again, we like coming here to play, but won't eat here next time.
I love this place, becareful you can end up spending way more money than you expected. The claw machines are my favorite and super addicting! The atmosphere is everything! Definitely one of my favorite arcades.
