I absolutely love this place !!! My boyfriend treats us to sushi because it’s our favorite thing to eat together, but Susie, the owner, always is a delight and very helpful. She treats us with so much respect and the atmosphere is always inviting. If you are in the area please go their sushi rocks . Our favorite rolls are the spicy tuna, New York, Rock n Roll just to name a few !
Always a favorite date night place! Whether it's the sushi, rice, or miso it's always hot and delicious! Been going here for 2 years since I work down the street and always have a great time with beautiful food! (Photo 1) Edit 7/31/25: They continue to outdo themselves with such beautiful and new displays everytime I come here! And delicious as always! (Photo 2) 10/8/2025: a beautiful display plating greeted me once again from the talented people in the kitchen! I couldn't even help taking a nibble before taking a picture! It's a beautifully delicate taste of hibachi style that made me do a double take when I took my first bite! I could have sworn I took a bite of hibachi style chicken but it was fish! I don't know what brain they have behind these meals but they keep doing the impossible by topping what they did last time! (Photo 3) 12/31/2025: They got a new stunning serving platter! The beautifully rounded edges and inner bowl make the presentation of the sushi feel like it's very satisfying to look at because of how filled in it looks. I am glad I got to enjoy the fresh sushi and wasabi they had today on New Year's Eve! (Photo 4)
Absolutely incredible experience !! The service was amazing, the portions were way bigger than I expected, and the taste was out of this world. I ordered the sushi and sashimi box. The cuts were enormous and I could tell the fish was very fresh. The plates were topped with candles and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. This was our first time but we will for sure be regularly eating here after today’s experience.
this is the best sushi i’ve had since we moved to VA!!!! the presentation is beautiful, the service is great, the restaurant was pretty, we even got some complimentary items. the cucumber salad that came with our sake was sooooo goooood and the salad that came with our sushi was somehow addictive. we’re definitely coming back
I visited this restaurant with my family expecting a great meal, given its 4.6-star rating. I have no idea how it achieved that score. The atmosphere was immediately off-putting. The floors were dingy and had a strangely tacky and greasy texture. Upon entry, there was no one to greet us, despite the restaurant being practically empty, with only one person at the bar. The service was barely acceptable. Our server seemed distracted, forgetting one part of our order and mishearing another. Their focus seemed to be entirely on to-go orders rather than the seated diners. Do not be fooled by the photos: there is no hibachi chef cooking at your table. The "hibachi" is prepared in the kitchen, and it was poor quality. The rice felt stale, with a texture suggesting it was a day or two old, and the overall food lacked any real color or appetizing appeal. The only saving grace was the decent sushi. Considering the poor quality and service, I regret spending $100 here. The outdated Valentine's Day sign out front—which has been up for about two years—is a telling sign of the general lack of attention to detail. I will not be returning.
