Working with Shawna and Lauren was truly the best decision we made for our wedding. Shawna was on top of absolutely everything from day one. She booked all my dress appointments without me even having to ask, handled every detail behind the scenes, and made the entire planning process completely stress-free. When we made the huge shift from a large wedding to a small destination ceremony, she knew exactly who to call, what steps to take, and how to make it all happen seamlessly. Her responsiveness, organization, and calm confidence were incredible—she truly handles everything with ease. Lauren was an absolute sweetheart and supported me on such a personal level. Whether it was gathering guest information, keeping track of arrival times, or helping me through the emotional moments, she treated each task with so much care and professionalism. We absolutely loved working with Shawna from Savvy Southern Events! She was truly amazing from start to finish — attentive, organized, and so thoughtful with every little detail. Our wedding day went perfectly smooth, and I can confidently say it was because of her. She made sure everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes so we could just enjoy the day stress-free. Shawna went above and beyond in so many ways — she even ran to the store to grab the bride and groom energy drinks the morning of (lifesaver!) and personally helped bustle my dress after the ceremony. Her calm, can-do attitude and genuine care made all the difference. I can’t recommend her enough to any couple looking for someone who will make their day effortless and unforgettable!
Savvy Southern Events is AMAZING! I have worked with their team so many times. Shawna, Lauren, Laura… all the girls are great. Shawna also does spray tanning. The girls are all so down to earth and fun to be around. You can’t go wrong with them!
My now husband and I were planning to do a quick destination wedding and then a few short months ago decided to have an actual wedding after all. I was overwhelmed to say the least! Shawna and I met for coffee and within a few minutes ( seriously maybe 5) she mentioned an event center I’ve never heard of. I saw pictures and fell in love with it & we looked at it / booked it a week later … meanwhile she already had options for me to use for decor and gave me the steps and tools to take each step all while keeping me organized which says a lot. I work full time and also travel to race and train and she still made this so doable and we cannot thank her and her team enough. The reminders and quick responses were something I could rely on throughout this whole process- also a bonus was she even does spray tans and had me looking good and feeling good! She was basically Holding my hand through this entire process. I don’t usually leave reviews unless I feel like I need to warn the world to not use someone but it was opposite for SSE. I want every future bride to do themselves a favor and use them. You end up saving time and money which is opposite of what you think with a planner. Just do it! Beyond grateful because our special day was PERFECT!
