Best haircut I've ever had!!!! Jasmine understood all the problems I had with my hair and my last haircut and fixed. I loved the attention to detail and the fact that the cut was double checked. I'm really satisfied with the shape my hair has and so excited to style it myself and enjoy wearing it curly again. The staff was super super sweet and understanding (and they accomodated me even though I ended up reaching late). Overall it was a great experience.
Kathleen gave me the best haircut! I'm not young anymore, I thought my curls had disappeared when my hair turned grey quite some time ago but Kathleen is a master of her craft. She has transformed it to the curl I had when my grandmother used to put my hair in rags when I was a young girl.
I rarely leave reviews, but this time I just couldn’t resist. The service and knowledge here are outstanding. The team truly takes care of you without rushing, focusing on your curls and teaching you how to look after curly hair. I received amazing tips and bought some products — my hair has never looked this healthy and curly! I’m honestly so excited to have finally found my hairdresser. After trying different salons for years, I’ve never had results this good (seriously!). This was my first visit, and I’ll definitely be booking my next appointment. If you have curly hair and are looking for a great cut, just try Shades of Curls — you won’t regret it.
This was my second time visiting Shades of Curls and I was not disappointed! My hair is wavy so I’ve never had a curly cut before coming here. I don’t know why I waited so long because since coming here my hair has never been healthier. Kathleen and the girls are so knowledgeable, and their after-care tips made it possible for me to easily maintain my new curly/wavy look at home. This time I came for a colour balayage and was amazed by the results. It was a ‘fix-up’ job from a previous salons dodgy application. I’m so so happy and the photo speaks for itself. I can’t recommend Kathleen and the girls at Shades of Curls enough. Five stars always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I cannot recommend Shades of Curls enough! Like many others, I had seen posts telling me to go to a curly hair salon, but I wasn’t convinced. The price was a lot more than the usual $30 I’d spend on a men’s haircut. However, after months of trying to get my curls healthy with online advice that just wasn’t working, I finally took the plunge and booked an appointment. Best decision ever! From start to finish, the team at Shades of Curls took their time to understand my needs, ensuring I got exactly what I wanted. They didn’t rush, they explained their process thoroughly, and even showed me how best to style my hair while recommending the right products. I ended up purchasing their suggested cleaner, conditioner, and gel, and what a game-changer. My curls feel fantastic, look healthier than ever, and have a definition I didn’t think was possible. I was genuinely shocked by the end result. I never imagined my curls could look this good. For those of you who are thinking "is it really worth it?", yes, it absolutely is. Thank you to the talented team at Shades of Curls for setting me on the right path. You’ve earned a loyal customer for life!
