We had our team-building event at Shield N Sheath this weekend and had such a great time! The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful in every way. They took the time to teach us how to throw the axes and were extremely patient with the kids, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had fun. The Taco Bar was more than enough... and absolutely delicious! Our team hasn’t stopped talking about how well everything went. We’re already looking forward to going back!
I have visited a lot of Axe throwing bars all over the country. And I drove over 5hrs to on a bit of an axe throwing tour to end here. Shield N Sheath is definitely one of the best. The staff was great! And they hade a ton of custom made blades to throw as well as a plethora of axes and THEY HAVE SPEARS!!!! I've never seen spears at any other place I've been. It was awesome! Great prices, & beers & food. It was worth the drive for sure. Go see Alden, Lisa, and Jacob. You will have a great time.
Took my team for an after work team build and everyone had a great time. We got great instruction on how to throw. They also had a cool tablet where we could play different games which made it a lot more fun than just throwing at a bullseye. Services was awesome and we got to take a lot of fun photos with props. Definitely recommend for work or family.
This place is amazing! Staff is awesome! (Shout out to Zach, Jakob, and Avery) The food is amazing ( I recommend the pizza) My group of 3 had an amazing time here from throwing the hatchets to the Batman knives. It is great for all ages! They put an emphasis on safety and fun comes in a close second. There are a multitude of games you can play that are projected on the wood via a projector. They also have photo ops you can take with swords and a variety of other gear. I highly recommend coming here if you are in the Richmond area.
My bestfriend and I came here on a vacation trip from Florida and we loved it here at shield n sheath. The owner and his daughter were so nice, friendly and helpful. The inside is decorated so beautiful they even have games you can play while you wait your turn the throw a axe. Axe throwing was a nice experience and very fun. We will definitely come back.
