Amazing experience! I booked online for a Friday evening a few days in advance. They were able to secure me two lanes for 7 people (when you exceed 6 people, you will need to add a lane). If you book more than one lane, they automatically try to make them adjacent. I called after booking to ensure everything looked good on their end and they were super friendly and helpful. There was a deposit online and I paid the rest in person. At the lanes, our party had the BEST time!!! None of us were that good... and most hadn't bowled in a looooong time. We all got at least one strike though, and we ended our night really pleased with ourselves😆 Our reservation was for an hour and a half, and honestly I could have used another half hour. The staff was courteous though and let our one lane finish their game because they only had two rounds left. They didn't have to do that, as we were over our reserved time. But it was so nice to see our friends'/family's final scores for that game. The concessions were nice (see pics), the lanes were clean, the noise level was pretty standard for a bowling alley, and the ball selection was good. We got to see a bunch of league players on one side of us and a bunch of young kiddos having a birthday party on the other side. Quite a fun Friday night! This place is good for all ages and all skill levels. I would highly recommend this bowling alley for celebrations of any kind. I'd recommend booking in advance and calling them for any questions. They are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and reassuring. Go bowl at Shrewsbury Lanes! 🎳
How can you bowl when you can't slide. Idk what is going on there but. ..... It killed my experience. Every time I threw the ball it was like the brakes are put on. Ither throw me into the lane or jump and mis-que throwing the ball. Can't something be done about this. Are the house shoes really that bad? Never have been at any other bowling alley. Other than that I would have had a good time but it pissed me off. I didn't see a single score on the board over 100. In the whole bowling alley. I didn't see any other player slide on their approach. Don't get me wrong, the bowling alley is an awesome place to hang out and have a good time.... But it's like trying to play professional baseball with a wiffle ball bat. How can you try to be competitive when it's not set up to be. Is it just about going thru the motions anymore and that's it? If it's me and I'm wrong so be it. If I need to bring in professional shoes and a pro ball just to pick up a game so be it. But let me know.
Probably one of the best bowling alleys in the area with a great friendly staff. Check in for bowling specials, like all you can bowl and late night weekday specials. Their food is fantastic as well. The bar is fully stocked with a great selection of domestic beer and craft beer along with most any other call liquors you would want. They advertise different themed mixed drinks depending on the season as well. Always call before hand if you plan on bowling to see if there is a league bowling that night so you don't get stuck waiting. They also have the ability to book a lane online if you want to go that route.
Employees were friendly. The whole place was very clean. If we had a spill, they were quick to come clean it up. We went because my granddaughter wanted to bowl for her birthday. Very glad they chose this location.
Had a great time at Shrewsbury Lanes. It's a small place. But that didn’t matter. We had our quarterly meeting. Afterward, we went bowling. Service from the staff was great. The food was okay. I only eat kosher and they didn't have any beef pizza. I ordered wings were too soft. They should have been cooked more. The hot sauce on the wing was so so.
