My daughter went from being able to swim for fun to being able to swim strong! As an educator myself, I really appreciate that every instructor she has had is well trained in a systematic approach to getting children to be excellent swimmers.
My son has been with Sigma for over 5 years. The last 4 years have been at the Elite pool. Wendy is the best. She has taught him so much and his swimming grew so much. She also has a sense of humor that makes her an effective coach while still expecting a high level of performance. My son made 3 state appearances, won more medals than I can count, and holds about half a dozen school records. Wendy has been a big part of that.
Sigma swim has been amazing for my son. I appreciate the more personalized experience with a smaller teacher - student ratio. My 6 year son has learned a lot and is gaining more and more confidence each lesson. I also love the communication that Sigma Swim has with parents. I'm pleased and would highly recommend.
I'll start by saying that I was a swim lesson instructor for fifteen years, so while I wouldn't consider myself "picky," I have pretty solid expectations for a swim program, their progressions, and their instructors. Our daughter has been taking lessons with Sigma at TWU for almost 3 years, and we've been very, very happy. Her instructors have been absolutely lovely and encouraging and have made it fun for her to practice and improve. The small group sizes and consistency of instructors means that their coaches have space to get to know their students and adjust to how they learn best, and to me, that's the real sign of a skilled instructor. The only time I ever raised a concern, Vegas was immediately receptive and offered several possible resolutions, which we really appreciated. We also love the opportunity to participate in the fun meets, which has our daughter excited to move up to swim team!
This school has been so good for my daughter! The staff and teachers are kind and knowledgeable. The school is organized, and they keep me informed of her progression through different skill levels. I notice she is improving and becoming more confident in the water. We’ve tried other schools in the past, but they didn’t seem to teach anything useful (just fun/play). Here at Sigma I feel confident that she is actually learning how to swim- along with more advanced skills she can use when she gets older (if she wants to join a swim team, etc).
