Very satisfied customer having gone to Ruari for almost a year now since moving to Edinburgh. Skin fade done to perfection every time! The Skin & Anchor shop is cool, well located, has a chilled vibe and all the barbers seem great. It’s easy to book online and Ruari has always been very helpful and flexible - I’d certainly recommend. My friend has lived in Edinburgh his whole life and it’s the place to be for him too!

Special thanks to stylist Matthew F for an amazing cut and incredible, relaxing, rejuvenating experience. I very much appreciate your skill and your delivery my friend! It's clear you love what you do and you're damn good at it. In addition to a kick-ass a haircut, the beard treatment and facial scrub is an absolute must add on to complete the experience. The beard butter was clutch in making my beard feel softer and comfortable. Great attention to detail and products and technique. Totally dig the ambiance that's a little bit biker a little bit skateboarder but all Barber and the doggie laying on the floor totally put it over the top. Smashed it!
I had a fantastic haircut and beard trim from Maty. The cut is great, my partner told me my face smelled good for the last three days, and both the music and the chat were spot on. It's a very good value, worth every penny. I will come back again when I am in the area.
Been going to Sink and Anchor and Ruari for many years now since the Grassmaket location. Always got a great Vibe and everyone is really friendly. I would highly recommend Ruari to anyone as he has a great wealth of knowledge and has had great advice for all hairstyles I’ve had. The cuts are great highly recommend you get down to sink and anchor!
I’ve been getting my hair cut by Ruari for about five years now, and he’s a top notch barber. Always gives a clean, fresh trim and is patient and actually listens to what you want — every time. He’s proper sound too, and the vibe in the chair is always chill. You can tell he cares about what he does and takes pride in getting it right. If you want a barber who knows his stuff and won’t let you down, Ruari’s your guy!
