I've been coming to this location for years and I only would have staff, Jenny to assist me. Jenny ALWAYS makes sure that I'm looking good and my eyes are healthy once I take my yearly trips out of the country. I just want to say, Jenny, if you retire I truly don't know who can give much the care and patience as you do and not just sell products to me but truly cares. Thanks Jenny, you're a very hard and devoted employee 🤗
I stumbled across Site for Sore Eyes while walking through the neighborhood, and I’m so glad I did. Not only did I get a helpful lesson in eye health, but I also found a great selection of stylish glasses at an affordable price. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my glasses were ready less than two weeks! Site for Sore Eyes has definitely earned a loyal customer in me.
I’ve been a contact lens customer here and have had my eye exams in the past, but the service lately feels off. I came in and asked politely if they had any contact solution available (even to purchase), and the woman I spoke to acted like they didn’t have any — which is odd, considering it’s a contact lens provider. It honestly felt like she didn’t want to help because I wasn’t placing a new order that day. Also, I’ve noticed that when I do order certain lenses from here, like Bausch + Lomb, they seem to tear more easily than the samples or different types they’ve given me in-office. I like the convenience of this location, and some of the staff are helpful, but the inconsistency in service and reluctance to offer basic items (like solution) makes me hesitant to rely on them going forward.
This place, by far, outshines a lot of the competition. The staff is friendly and made me feel comfortable, unlike other places where I’ve felt uneasy. I’ll definitely remain a returning customer. I’d also like to point out that the doctor here is great. She was very helpful, answered all my questions, and has a truly amazing team. To my eyes, there are thousands of stylish frames and top tier brands to choose from. This place is definitely worth the long drive to downtown Oakland. The only downside is parking so bring quarters for the meter or $10 for the lot next to the building.
No complaints with the eye exam, doctor was professional and thorough and explained the procedures. It was a fast appointment and they didn't try to sell me any glasses, which was nice. I'm still waiting on the itemized receipt for my FSA account.
