Slate is absolutely beautiful and professional. My family held our father's surprise 60th birthday on 5/18/2025. From the beginning my experience was great. The tour is self-guided and done via phone. All of my questions were answered during the tour. We had seamless booking, and our event manager Janaya was professional and communicated well through email. The day of event set-up started on time and Melissa on the day of was great as well. She was helpful and assisted bringing in items from the vehicles to help me. The guests were very pleased with the parking, the ramp for some of our wheelchair guest and the area in and out of the space. They fell in love with the inside decor and bathrooms. The only note that was said is that the floor took away from the beauty because it's just plain concrete and looks unfinished. We cleaned up and were out of the space an hour before we were supposed to be. I received my deposit back and everything was left the way that we found it. I will be using them again!
I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with this company, as they failed to uphold the policies stated on their website. The quoted price changed after the contract was delivered beyond the promised two-day turnaround. When I inquired, I was told they do not operate on weekends—a condition not disclosed anywhere on their site. Upon attempting to cancel due to these inconsistencies, I was informed that my $500 deposit would be forfeited. To avoid losing the funds, I requested to retain the event date, only to be told that I would need to submit an additional $500 deposit. I was further informed that the initial deposit would not be applied toward the final balance because the company had already “held the date.” However, that same date remained available for booking on their website. I contacted my bank to dispute the charge, and the company misrepresented the situation by claiming I canceled, omitting the crucial detail that they demanded another $500 for a date that was not truly secured. In my view, this conduct reflects dishonest business practices. The coordinator was unprofessional, and there appears to be a lack of internal oversight. I intend to file formal complaints with the Office of the Attorney General and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your team for helping make my mom’s party such a special occasion. The venue was absolutely perfect, and everything—from the setup to the service—exceeded our expectations. We’ve received so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the space was and how smoothly everything went. Your attention to detail and the warm hospitality truly made the day unforgettable. Please extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed. Especially Melissa she is a GEM
Just go ahead and book your event. It’s beautifully crafted and they have an amazing in house caterer and decorator/ planner.
Beautiful space and the owners are amazing! Fantastic color palette and aesthetic for any color scheme or theme. They also have their own parking lot which is a huge bonus.
