I had an amazing experience with Southern Blossom Florist! I had called two other places first, and both were surprisingly rude and told me they didn’t have the flowers or colors I was looking for. I was starting to feel frustrated, but then I called Southern Blossom and immediately felt at ease. They were so kind, helpful, and professional right from the first conversation. They had no issues at all with the request and truly listened to what I needed. The bouquet for my sister’s wedding came out absolutely stunning—exactly what she envisioned. It was fresh, beautifully arranged, and matched her colors perfectly. I can’t thank them enough for making something so important turn out so perfectly. I highly recommend Southern Blossom Florist to anyone looking for beautiful work and genuinely great service!
I hired Southern Blossom Florist for an anniversary party and was extremely disappointed with both the flowers I received and the customer service. The arrangements did not match the color scheme we had discussed and included flowers that were not approved. Additionally, the cocktail table arrangements were supposed to be styled in bud vases but came in completely different containers which were far too big and caused the flowers to droop. The only part of the order that was correct was the arrangement for the welcome sign. For reference, the pictures below show what I had asked for vs what I received. When I brought this to their attention, the team was dismissive and unprofessional. Despite clearly outlined issues and photographic evidence, they only offered a 10% refund and were unwilling to engage in any kind of meaningful conversation about a more appropriate resolution and I have waited weeks for the owner to follow up. I was excited to support a local florist and leave a great review, but this experience left me incredibly disappointed. I would not recommend this business to others based on my experience. Update: The florist’s response below is deeply disappointing and only further demonstrates their unprofessionalism. They have confused me with someone else entirely — I am not an event planner, nor was this a 10-year anniversary celebration. We never discussed Dahlias being out of season, and I was never informed of substitutions involving orchids, which were not approved and did not match the aesthetic we agreed upon. Their claim that all arrangements featured the same flowers is simply untrue. Additionally, I was specifically shown an Instagram post featuring the bud vases I wanted, and I approved them on the spot — what was delivered was not even close. To date, I am still waiting for a meaningful one-on-one conversation. Instead of responding privately to resolve the issue, they have chosen to misrepresent the situation in a public forum. This, along with the factual inaccuracies in their reply, has only solidified my concerns about their lack of professionalism and accountability.
I like to thank Jerry and the staff at Southern Blossom. I flew in on Saturday 3/22 for a family funeral and needed an arrangement for the viewing at the funeral home for Sunday 3/23. Jerry had coordinated with a family member who I was recommended to use Southern Blossom ..Jerry also spoke with the Funeral home to make sure it will be delivered Sunday by 1 pm. I went there on Sunday and as I looked around I did see my arrangement as the family members pointed it out to me. It was very nice and put together on the assortment of colors. Well done. If I need another arrangement and am here in the Charlotte area I will reach again to Jerry at Southern Blossom. He was very helpful and courteous at a difficult time in me dealing with the loss of my brother in law. Thank you again for your great assistance.
TLDR: Day-of execution for our wedding from the Southern Blossom team was wonderful and the flower arrangements were beautiful! But there were some challenges that could've been avoided with better communication and planning systems. We used Southern Blossom for our wedding. The communication leading up to it felt a little bit disorganized as we often noted decisions made during previous meetings had not been recorded properly. This caused our product to be a little bit off from the vision and created some hectic stress the morning of the wedding. I will say, Giovy and her team were so kind and quick to spring into action to make changes to the arrangements that would be more in line with what we wanted. In the end, after the changes were made, I ended up loving the florals- they truly were beautiful, even if a little different from what we were thinking.
