Starkweather Tattoo Collective est un studio de tatouage et une boutique à Madison qui réunit une équipe d'artistes compétents, notamment Janelle et Zion. I will definitely be heading back to see Janelle for my next tattoo. She's top-notch at multiple styles, is incredibly knowledgeable about pop/alternative culture, and always has a crazy and/or hilarious story at the ready. If you're itching for some fun and bold new ink and able to get to Madison booking with Janelle is absolutely worth it. The Midwest has some amazing tattoo artists, and it's my opinion that Janelle is at the top of that list. The same goes for the Starkweather Tattoo Collective. I've grown familiar with many of their artists' work and they're all exceptional at their craft. The shop is always bright, friendly, and clean.
This shop is amazing I traveled 4 hours from my hometown after finding Janelle through a post on instagram her work on her social media page was the style I was looking for so I scheduled my appointment and waited, once the stencil was applied I found myself realizing that Janelle is a tattoo artist with true care for her craft. She moved my stencil around till she found the perfect placement and fit once it was applied with meticulous care she went to work with occasionally question if I was doing okay and if I needed a break it reassured me that I was in good hands with a professional. I have been tattooed a lot but her skills blew me away, if you ever are in the area or want a tattoo from an flawless professional artist please contact Janelle Hanson or any of the artist at Starkweather Tattoo I know they will take care of you
Janelle and Zion are amazing!! I’ve seen them both for multiple tattoos and they are both so very talented!! Love them to pieces! I drive in from minneapolis and stay for a few days and it’s the best! Glad to be working with such talented artists at this shop, everyone there is amazing! ❤️
Love this place and will continue to return to Janelle whenever I can. I started getting tattooed by her when she was at a different shop and when Starkweather was in its infancy. She has always made the experience easy, comfortable, fun! I lean towards her neo-trad style and love the results but all her other work regardless of style turns out so cool. She knows exactly what I'm looking for and more! Can't wait til I can come back for my next piece!
Janelle did an absolutely stunning job with the start of my sleeve! She took the extra time upfront to make sure the design and layout was exactly what I wanted, even redoing bits to make sure it all worked together. Janelle was absolutely amazing to work with, she ensured I was comfortable and took breaks when we needed. I can’t wait for my next session to add color!!
