Awesome experience from the beginning to end. They were able to get out day of the issue, diagnose that our furnace was toast. We were able to get a new one installed the next day. I have no complaints.
Today’s Sunset heat/cool Visit offered Excellent service from Austin and Juan on vent cleaning and sanitizing. I also appreciated the educating me on use of elec filter with an older furnace. We had a great experience working with Daniel Zavala at Sunset Heating and Cooling. He was incredibly helpful walking us through the options for a new furnace and heat pump system, explaining everything clearly and making the whole process feel easy and low-stress. Daniel was friendly, knowledgeable, and very fair on pricing, which we really appreciated. We even got to go over the details outside while the neighborhood squirrels stopped by to beg for peanuts — a surprisingly pleasant way to talk HVAC. Highly recommend Daniel and Sunset Heating and Cooling.

He took the time to explain everything about getting our furnace replaced and the best option for us. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with genuine courtesy. I highly recommend requesting Daniel for your service needs!
I recently hired Sunset Heating for a furnace checkup and to replace a condensation pump before the winter season. During the initial furnace inspection, the technician provided me with an estimate for the condensation pump replacement, which I agreed to. Ron, the technician assigned to my job, was very knowledgeable and capable. He completed the replacement efficiently and was genuinely helpful throughout the process. I appreciated his professionalism and expertise. However, my main concern with Sunset Heating is the cost of the service. I was charged $483 for the replacement, yet the condensation pump itself retails online for around $45. I feel this pricing is excessive and left me with the impression that I was taken advantage of by the company. While the quality of service was excellent, the cost was not justified by the materials provided. In summary, while the technician was outstanding, the overall value for the price paid was disappointing. Incidentally, I repaired the PVC condensation line for $ 11.00. Sunset wanted $ 450.00. My advice, get a second opinion before agreeing to a Sunset price.
