John Friend and his team are INCREDIBLE! After working with previous landscapers, we were connected with John who came out ready to take notes and walk through our property with us. He saw our vision and where we wanted to go, took in our ideas and developed a plan, layout, and a visual design that showed us how we could make our Pittsburgh retreat MAGICAL! John and his team have been our best contractors throughout this entire 2 year renovation of our backyard and adjacent property and we could not have asked for a better team. John has worked recently on our driveway grading project, seeded new grass areas, created our backyard patio and landscaping design, and so much more. We have a DREAM home thanks to John and the team at Sylvan Gardens!

We recently asked Sylvan Gardens to design and install a Pollinator Garden to replace a very scruffy lawn and a hillside full of weeds. The entire experience from beginning to end was so much more than we had expected. The design was done quickly and very professional. We had plenty of opportunities to fine tune it if needed. Which was rare. The crew that came in to do the actual design implementation were excellent. They removed existing foliage and prepared the soil in 2 days and then the next 5 days transformed our yard from ehhh to a lovely garden. When completed they left the yard immaculate. Highly recommend this company for any landscaping needs,
Sylvan does some of the BEST work in the business and I will choose them every time! Their staff creates incredible designs, are responsive and professional, and deliver as promised. I have worked with them for several years now - they gave me the most beautiful lawn and most recently added a patio extension with garden beds. They completely brought the rendering to life and I couldn’t be happier!!
