Our son has been enrolled in Sylvan of Midlothian for a year now and he has excelled tremendously in both math and reading. He now reads above grade level and his math skills are constantly improving. Troy is amazing, his customer service skills are impeccable and his care for each child is definitely palpable. What a great place to come if your child is struggling with their school work! My oldest son has been coming for almost a year now and enjoys it. His confidence has increased and his test scores and schoolwork has improved so much! He is welcomed with a wonderful and kind staff. Sylvan makes it fun and has a token reward system store to help encourage kids to keep trying their best! My youngest son just started a few weeks ago and enjoys it too. So happy with Sylvan Learning Center!
I credit Sylvan Learning for my daughter’s improvement with reading and overall learning. She’s been able to apply what she learns and has become more comfortable about learning new things. She loves going to her sessions and constantly talks about how much fun she has there. I see Sylvan Learning as my support system as we navigate her reading journey.
I initially started with 2 children attending sylvan at the beginning of last year and this year I have added my 3rd child into the program. The instructors are really nice, and I have seen an improvement in all my children's school work. My oldest daughter who is in 8th grade was taking a program called study skills that is currently phasing out, but it has made her become disciplined in keeping herself organized. The result from her being in Sylvan is that she has had straight A's for the last two semesters. Mr.Matt her study skills instructor gives her pointers and ideas about making her organization better. I am confident that my daughter is going to excel in the 9th grade because of her hard work and Sylvan. My second daughter is in 6th grade and she is not a fan of having to do school work, but she enjoys Sylvan and all the instructors. She has shown improvement in her writing and reading. She recently completed a book report something that she absolutely dreads and got a 100%. I know that with the writing program she is mastering the grammatical portions of writing so that she can write her papers with confidence. As a parent, writing has never been my strong suit and as a result I have leaned on Sylvan to help my children become self-sufficient writers. My 3rd child started because he wanted too! He is only in 1st grade, but he did express to me that he wanted to be a better reader. I enrolled him and he has enjoyed all the instructors especially Mr.Troy, Mr.Matt, and Mr.Eugene. I really feel that Sylvan cares about my children being successful in school and all the instructors have been wonderful to my children including Mrs.Diana, Mrs.Rosa and Mrs.Carol. The person who I need to give the most praise to is Mr.Troy. He really keeps Sylvan rolling. He is great about letting me know when upcoming sales are happening. I also meet with him monthly to speak about all 3 of my children's progress. I really did not know what to expect during these meetings, but I am able to see all the skills my children have mastered and where they are in the program. Mr.Troy has also been wonderful about helping me cancel and reschedule my children's tutoring classes without any issues. I have been extremely happy with this institution and I am so grateful that I have found it!
