Excellent translation section. That you have to be a member is lame. That's a corporate B&N move and the reasoning behind it eclipses my understanding. I did think it was interesting that I could get a discount as a member, but not as an employee of another local bookstore, a teacher, a US Army veteran, or a retired AF officer. When I asked the lady at the desk, she looked at me like I asked her a physics question in Swahili--just a blank stare and, "sorry, no." That, to me, is a pity.
We love this bookstore. We only make it up to Buffalo once or twice a year, and we make sure Talking Leaves is our first stop. My husband and I have been going for years and we recently got to bring our daughter which was so special. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, not to mention kind. We will support this store forever.

Best independent bookstore in Buffalo New York. Welcoming, quiet, quaint and very Perfect. Staff is friendly, professional and assisted me with research. Children, patrons and local artist visited, in and out and the door is not only revolving but always open. Additionally, the books are perfectly categorized, alphabetized and organized. If you are in need of a physical book, an array of genres, magazines, book flair and overall possess. This is definitely the place #PerfectBookstore
