Made a reservation for the X’mas eve dinner and it was quite packed. We had to wait awhile for the table to be ready and it seemed that some table had to fit 6-7 people into a table meant for 4. We did not opt for the Xmas menu as it was limited. We ordered grilled octopus for appetizer and it was excellent. Really fresh, tasty, and grilled well. The ribeye was cooked to perfection as how we ordered it (rare-medium) and the accompanying roasted potatoes was nice and crisp. The wagyu steak was also good but a bit underwhelming, nothing special. The branzino was nice and tender but with a very low light it was hard to see the little bones which ruined the tender fish every time you bite into those little bones. The dessert was the highlight. The tiramisu is one of the best I have had, and this is one of my most favorite desserts that I tried every time I go to an Italian restaurant. It was moist and the mascarpone layers was scrumptious! The Millefoglie was OK. Not bad but I wouldn’t order again (I’m bias towards tiramisu of course!) We also ordered a gelato which came in a gelato cart so full show side table here. The gelato itself was good and you can order any toppings and all. It was raining heavily during our dinner and it seemed that the table next to the big sliding doors may get some rain dripping on them a little. It was quite crowded so it felt like a rush, crowded cafeteria and not a place where you can enjoy a conversation or savor on your dishes. Overall experience was not bad but I wish it was more relax where we didn’t feel rushed or so loud that it’s hard to carry any conversation. However, I went to several Eataly locations in the U.S. and they are all like this so it’s probably something to expect.
Terra brunch was pretty fancy sounding but the dishes were pretty basic. We had some fancy sounding tortufo eggs and it was scrambled eggs I make at home. Sure there were some elements which were fancy tasting as well but was under whlemed I still give a 4 stars coz two things were really good. Espresso martini and the tiramisu. Really creamy and heavenly.
Stopped in here with my mom around 5:30 PM on a Saturday after Christmas shopping. Surprisingly, there was no wait to get a table. The vibe is definitely the highlight—nice rooftop setting, and even with the breeze, the heaters made it super comfortable. Big shoutout to our server, Johnathan, who was great and very attentive. Food-wise, it was a mixed bag, which is tough when the bill comes out to over $200 for two people. The Good: The A5 Wagyu skewers were amazing. Melt-in-your-mouth good, though obviously pricey for the portion size. The Pane Otto bread was solid and crunchy (though the fancy butter didn't add much). The Meh: The Branzino had nice crispy skin, but the salt was a total landmine. Some bites were perfect, others were completely unseasoned. The Bad: The Lobster Pasta (Tonnarelli) was a huge letdown. Honestly felt like "stunt food"—it looks cool with the shell on top, but there was barely any meat in the tail. The pasta itself was so bland I had to ask for black pepper just to get some flavor. Definitely not worth $48. Overall: 3.5/5. Cool spot for a date or nice ambiance, but the food didn't really blow me away for the price.
Terra is a great spot inside Westfield Valley Fair, especially for occasional celebrations. The food is good overall—nicely presented, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful flavor combinations, even if a few dishes didn’t quite meet the high expectations set by the price point. The atmosphere, however, is where Terra really shines. The space has a warm, stylish vibe with a premium feel that makes it perfect for date nights, birthdays, or special get-togethers. Terra definitely sits on the higher end in terms of cost, and it’s clear that part of what you’re paying for is the elevated dining environment and overall experience. While I wouldn’t come here regularly, it’s still a solid choice when you want a memorable meal in an upscale yet comfortable setting.
Amazing food and service! My favorite was the mixed meat grill, especially the handmade Italian sausage and wagyu which were flavorful and tender. We also ordered the seafood grill, two salads, desserts and a round of drinks, all of which were delicious. We loved how fresh and flavorful the salads were. Our server Anthony M was friendly and helped us decide what to order and checked in on us frequently. They have a great personality and made our meal so much more enjoyable.
