My favorite shop in town! I love Clover, she’s an incredibly kind and gentle piercer, she takes her time to make sure you’re comfortable and like your placement before piercing you. She’s always an absolute pleasure to work with. My fav tattoo artist at the shop is Wes, his lines are smooth and clean and he packs colors in flawlessly!
Recently we booked an appointment with RJ at American Tattoo in downtown Sacramento. He was recommended to us by one of his clients who has some beautiful color tattoos, and color is what we were after for our image. We are a 'Thruple' and we each wanted a color polyamory heart. We contacted RJ through his Instagram page and he responded right away. After sending him a sample of the heart we wanted, he replied and confirmed that he could do it. We made an appointment and met RJ. He listened to us, made a template of the heart, and then got down to business. RJ's space in the shop was clean and well-organized. He ensured we were comfortable and told us what to expect because we were each 'tattoo virgins' 🤣. RJ made suggestions that enhanced our original image, making the tattoo more vibrant. Each tattoo took about an hour to complete, meaning he spent about 4 hours by the time all 3 of them were done. They are absolutely beautiful and exactly as we envisioned them. RJ was friend. There is no way we would ever go anywhere else, should we get another tattoo.
Brought my daughter (14) and wife in for piercing. Holly made our experience seamlessly perfect. From check in to out the door our experience was curated in a way only a real professional can do. Thank you Holly for taking such great care of us!
Unfortunate writing this as I’ve had a good experience previously. I came in to get my ears pierced with my own jewelry, and the piercer started criticizing my jewelry saying that it wasn’t the right material, length, etc despite it being the exact material they listed on their website, and they started to try and sell me their own products claiming that they only pierce with jewelry from in store despite me getting an email stating that they are able to pierce with outside jewelry. Extremely rude customer service. She did not know her own business’s guidelines and refused to believe me when I said the jewelry (I bought!) was titanium. I would never recommend this shop to someone wanting to get reasonably priced piercings!
Great atmosphere and experience overall! Holly was absolutely amazing and provided great feedback when choosing where to pierce etc. The jewelry options are so vast and vary depending on your budget. Will definitely be back for future piercings and upgrades!
