My wife and I have been coming here with our boy Jaxx since they opened so this review is long overdue. The coffee, the team, the hospitality is all off the charts. We always buy our beans from them and they always give our pup treats. We love you guys and will always be regulars! Sincerely, Jaxx’s Parents
Very cute lil spot. I can't speak on the beverages, my goal was the pastries ($6.50) 🤭 but they use Sight Glass beans, so I'm sure the coffee is fantastic. I did takeaway, the seating spots are minimal, most patrons were sitting outside. I've been wanting to try the Ube croissant so I could compare it to Neighborhood Bakehouse. I am pleasantly surprised, the Ube is a winner. TCB gets the pastries fresh baked daily from Sunday Bakery. I'm pretty sure its the bakery that used to be located in Oakland, but the menu states the Bakery is in Sausalito (which makes more sense considering TCB's location 🤷🏼♀️) I wouldn't say their UBE croissant is comparable to Neighborhood Bakehouse, but it is very good. Not overly sweet and a good amount of filling. I also sampled the almond croissant. Its a solid tasty option as well. Next visit I'll definitely try a savory treat.
I’ve been stopping by The Coffee Berry SF while staying nearby in SF, and it’s quickly become my go-to. The coffee is excellent—rich, smooth, and consistently well made. The pastries and food options are just as good, fresh and not overly sweet. The staff are friendly and efficient, which makes the place feel welcoming without being over the top. It’s also dog-friendly, which is a big plus if you’re out for a walk with your pup. I like that it feels like a neighborhood spot rather than a touristy one. After seeing it has hundreds of reviews with a perfect rating, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but the quality really does live up to it.
Worthy of all the 5 stars. It is a small coffee shop right at the bottom of Lombard street. We really enjoyed our Nutella latte and lavender latte. The ube croissant was our favorite. The savory pull apart was ok. They have indoor seating for like 8 and a couple small tables outside.
If you are in SF and looking for a great place for a cup of coffee and a baked treat (sweet or savory), make sure to try the Coffee Berry. The workers (owners?) will immediately make you feel welcome and valued. The drinks and food are delicious and dogs are welcome. You’ll find a lot of locals with their pups. It’s always a good sign when the locals are going! My daughter and I were staying at the hotel across the street and we found them on the first morning. On the second day when I visited without my daughter they asked if she was sleeping in, which she was. I was impressed they remembered and asked about her. Just a wonderful small business to check out if you are visiting or a local!
